This hotel only works because is close to Petronas and does not have much competence. Do not think that the reason it is many times full is because of its quality. They will be also lucky because most of the people who stay here is to work therefore they spend all day out working, so they only realise the service... More

Now known as The Qamar, it's newly renovated in half part of the hotel. We stayed in chalet 702 for 2 nights, the room is quite big. The air-cond works well, however it's too noisy. Hot shower and wifi also works well. It'd be great if there are more TV channels available. The housekeeping doesnt come until around 3 or... More

I hosted some seminars here for Petronas (that's the state oil company) engineers, and stayed in the hotel. As it is close to a large oil and gas centre, this place does not have to try too hard. If you cannot get a good night's sleep, never mind the details. The bed was rock hard. If you can sleep in... More

We are a couple with 2 young kids. Overall room condition is OK. I switch room once during my 3 days stay due to last minute booking. I think the rooms in this hotel have been newly refurbished as I could see that their bathroom is like a brand new together with the overall good room condition. On a first... More

Stayed one night in the hotel [now known as The Qamar Hotel]. The hotel did not live up to its motto “We take pride in providing you with the best facilities ………… at all times”. Although we made confirmed reservation, the receptionists took some time to find our reservation when we checked in the afternoon. There were no bell boys... More

We booked 4 rooms over the internet. Upon arrival after a long 6 hr drive, we were eager to check in and enjoy the rest of the day at the beach. Somehow the reservations team made a mistake and only issued us with one room. When they realised we had reserved FOUR rooms, not ONE, the reception staff looked lost.... More

We booked lunch service for 28pax recently. Was there at 1pm, surprised to see there were not that many choices and the spread was probably made for just 10pax when there was clearly a large crowd, not just us. Service was very very slow from junior staff. Food was dissapointing, not even lukewarm n refill took so long i gave... More

Tucked away ina corner behind the main street of Paka, a once slow moving almost unknown town named Paka is a very busy hotel catering to a steady flux of guests. Yes. busy. In the last few decades, paka has evolved from a sleepy hollow to oil boom town. Its the only hotel in town if you're thinking star rating;... More

Stayed here for 3 days and I had a great time... Stayed in the deluxe room and it was alright. Didn't spend much time indoors as there were plenty of activities to do around here. Went to see the fireflies in Ibok (reception staffs can help arrange this for you...beautiful sights at night) Went horse riding at the endurance stable/club... More
