We made the booking for this wonderful resort at the last minute, having decided not to go to Mabul due to terrorist activity there.... We did not regret the decision for a second. Snorkelling was brilliant in a number of different locations close to the hotel and you can even snorkel straight from the beach at high tide. The diving... More

We stayed for 3 nights at the Redang Kalong. The rooms are basic and clean, the buffett food (Malay, Chinese and some Western) was plenty and tasty. Two snorkelling trips a day were included in our package and we enjoyed all of them. They took us to different places on each of our trips and all of them had corals,... More

I recently stayed @ Kalong with my family. Didn't understand why people could complain about the food. The meals served is excellent & the alternate nites BBQ dinner is just simply delicious! My compliments to the cooks. Staffs are friendly & generally helpful. Except the Myanmmar helper could do with a little more smile :-) while serving the rice. Kalong... More

When we arrived to the resort (2 adults & 2 children 9 and 4 y.o.) first impression was not promising, because we got one very basic room with 4 beds and a tiny bathroom. It was quite similar to the guest houses we used to travel when students in 90's with Lonely Planet. But it brought back some nice memories... More

If you've been the Laguna beach, don't expect Redang Kalong to be anything like it. This area is much less commercial (no beach discos, high end restaurants, fancy rooms). We stayed at the beach view chalet, which include heater and triple beds. No complaints about the room. I was there on a diving package which was reasonably priced, including 3... More

My buddy and I wanted a quick getaway at Pulau Redang to get in some sun and sea, and get our feet wet scuba diving. The island is relatively popular with the locals and visitors are spoilt for choice for all levels of accommodation from the mega sized like Berjaya to the local homestays. We chose Redang Kalong because it... More

I have nothing bad to say about this resort.. The rooms were clean. In fact the whole resort is clean. Upon reaching the jetty, you will be welcomed by staff of the resort who will give u a short briefing. All the info tt u'll need. The staff are friendly & helpful. I made friends with most of them. My husband and I stayed here for 1 night in September 2011. This resort has a diving center on site. We went for two dives; the divemaster was very nice and knowledgeable. Visibility was crystal clear and we saw some sea turtles and corals. In terms of boarding, the room was basic and small. We didn't like the food that... More

Together with 2 of my college friends, I wanted to absolutely go to one of these Malaysian islands. Absolutely did not regret this. There are several ways to get on the island, but this is how we did it. We took a a night bus to Kuala Terengganu and it was one hell of a ride. OMG. It was a... More
