Around 40 to 45 minute ride from Kuching - Damai beach is nice and calm (can walk a lot in to the sea) however no waves for surfing fans.. A nice forest view too (damai rain forest resort is within that - seems nice). Hotel is bit large - bit old - facilities fine - no free WiFi - mobile... More

It's in a beautiful location, which was a shame to have this 3 star rating. I loved the location, and the serenity. HOWEVER it was empty... kind of scary empty... not many workers, and the hotel rooms were just ok. If this was a review based on the standards here in the states, it would be a zero. However, it... Some good and bad things about this hotel. Good: The location is great! The beach isn't crowded at all, in fact you feel as if you almost have it to yourself at times. The room and bathroom were clean. The bed was comfortable. Bad: Hotel needs some better upkeep. The lounge chairs and towels are very old. The pool could... More

This place is too quiet. Not my kind of vacation place but for people that wants a quiet place and inexpensive, this might be a good place. Went to the bar at 9PM but it was empty. The breakfast was just my family in a giant hall. Food is okay but expensive! Go to the cafeteria outside (5 minutes walk)... More

My room had a view to die for. However the pool was dirty and the hotel was a little tired. More maintenance is required. The rooms were clean and really spacious. They have not too bad room. Quiet at night.

Located at the Damai peninsula, the resort faces the South China sea and has mount Santubong as its backdrop. Within walking distance of Sarawak cultural village. The beach in front of the resort is nice and perfect for kids to run around, build sand castles and fly kites. I also took my kids kayaking and we had a wonderful time.... More

Good resort with lovely views of the sea and a nice beach. Room that we stayed in can do with some maintenance and a good clean. The housekeeper should use some detergent with the mop so that the mop does not leave a stank smell in the room. The room door needs to be replaced. There was no flat screen... More

I agree with other comments about the HUGE pool being a bit unkept, but still nice to swim. Clean grounds. Nice beach. Big clean rooms. Good food at the resort. Walking distance to cultural village and busy sea side resturants /bars. Easy Walk to the restaurants down the road for variety. Good shuttle services from Kuching to Damai.

We used our Interval points for a week. We had an issue with the transfer driver so called on the manager when we arrived who was supportive and very nice. Sadly this resort has had little maintenance done in a long time but we still enjoyed our time here. Friendly staff but deserted during the week. Not all facilities open/working.... More
