We stayed here for a weekend to escape the gawai celebrations. There were no other guests during this weekend. It was not easy to find this this place as it has no sign boards pointing directions and no signboard outside. Once we found it we entered an oasis of peace. The garden is beautiful with a nice pool. The rajah... More

... if ever there was such a thing as a quick-getaway. The first thing you would notice walking into this stunner of a place, is the bluer than blue pool, right in the middle of the Village House. You would then be immediately put at ease with the surroundings, as the jazzy sounds of nature set into your reality and... More

We stayed at the Village House this past weekend and it was outstanding! I couldn't say enough about the friendliness of the staff or the unique design of the rooms. Best Kept Secret - One of the best things about the hotel that isn't really advertised is the beach. About a 2 minute walk through a short stretch of forest... More

I just felt energized after coming back from this trip staying at this place (even though it was just a short 3 nights stay). I think it's because how close it is with nature and away from Kuching city. It allowed me to slow down and look around. Take time to walk the Mount Santubong forest trek, have a cup... More

Our stay at the village house was the perfect start to our honeymoon. The staff are great and nothing is too much trouble, a special mention to Zin, Anselm and Elenor. It is quiet, serene and beautifully finished. Although we were a little further from Kuching, than we initially thought we wanted to be, the hotel was so good, we... More

The owners have created a lovely environment with their landscaping and the pool area is delightful. We stayed in a Rajah room which was spacious with a private verandah but it’s still quite rustic in feel and ants are lying in wait for any unattended food! Housekeeping could have been a little more diligent about restocking tea and coffee. Enjoyed... More

We stayed at theVillage House for four days and I have to say it was an absolute pleasure. From the moment you arrive at this peaceful oasis you feel relaxed, the staff are extremely helpful and nothing is too much trouble. They organised all our trips around Kuching, including a trip to see the Orang-utans and the river boat ride... More

We spend in Village house wonderful time after travelling whole Borneo and Peninsular Malaysia and this was the best we experienced there. Really nice people that made our stay even nicer, extra nice food, red home wine we really recommend, the trips are a bit average to the price and could be better value for money. But the stuff knows... More

We spent 4 fabulous nights in what was a relaxing soul-fuelled locale. From the moment we arrived the staff were welcoming, super friendly and helpful. If you''re looking for a buzzy resort experience, this isn't for you. If you''re looking for a tasteful, understated and comfortable experience, you''ll love it. The beach is not suitable for swimming but is worth... More

When booking accommodation in Kuching, I didn't have much time, so kind of took a stab in the dark with choosing Village House. Basically the pictures looked the best!! Had I known it was so far out of town, I wouldn't have booked. However, I am so glad that I did book. Village House is like a hideaway. We only... More
