We recently traveled to Kuching and used Singgahsana as a base on 3 different occassions. Our original tour booking had to be moved back a day so we needed to change the dates of our accom and this was no problem at all. The lodge is in a great location to lots of good cheap food, the Chinese and Indian... More

Singgahsana Hostel is the best hostel I stayed at while I traveled KK, Mulu, Miri, Kuching in April 2013. The first thing that struck me when I entered is its cleanliness, then really hospitable manager named MAC, timeless simplicity and décor, and comfort of this adorable place. I think that Singahsana hostel sets the high standards for hostels and should... More

I stayed 5 nights here and found everyone extremely friendly. The room was decent for a lodge and a great place to meet people, especially in the rooftop bar. The only negative thing I could say is the breakfast but there are so many good restaurants around, I didn't really have breakfast there. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here and... More

After a long journey was greeted by friendly people, checked in and shown to our family room. The room came with a double bed and bunk beds for kids 10+12 with private bathroom. HC shower and room had AC. Not huge but ok. Breakfast at the roof top bar was a great way to start to the day. Centrally located... More

At the time it was my first hostel in Borneo and it still is my favourite. Staff are helpful and friendly - they helped me find my own way to Bako, the caves near Bau and Seminggoh. The dorm was AC'd, clean and safe - standard price. The bar on the roof is awesome for hanging out and meeting people.... More

We spent 2 nights here in the 4 person room with the shared bath. The room was clean, showers spotless, hot water,a/c,wi-fi and helpful staff. The downstairs common area is very relaxed and decorated nicely. The roof top bar is perfect for hanging out and meeting other people. The location is ideal. Steps away from the river and china town. We booked for three nights and have found it well worth it. The whole place is clean and comfortable with a bit of quirky added into the mix to make it a well worth stay. The beds are firm but that's not a problem, sleeping in the air conditioned room is quite pleasant! Location is great, quite central and very... More

I initially booked a different hostel in Kuching, but as it was a bit run down I went looking for a better place to stay and found the Singgahsana Lodge, and I'm really glad I moved my stay to here. The service was terrific, both in the lodge itself (really friendly) and at the desk downstairs where you can book... More

A bit quiet during low season (stayed here in February) but a nice place with an excellent location (close to the waterfront, restaurants, main bazaar, bus stop to Bako,...). Very friendly and helpful staff who are not trying to push their tours...they have no problem in giving you advice on 'how to get there on your own' Not very cheap... More
