We got a room facing the waterfront. Cleanliness is generally okay. Mothing to shout about the room is stabdard. Staffs are very helpful. We caught a cold because of the weather and asked for boxes of tissues. Very friendly with warm smile. A 5 mins walk from the famous Kuching roundabout.

Room: Room is simple and all right. There is however a damp, musty smell that old rooms tend to have. Suggest that the Hotel Management put in some freshener or something. Room is also poorly lit at night as there's not enough lighting point in the room. If you need better lighting, you may need to go sit in the... More

If you're a government servant in Malaysia, enquire regarding their special rates. Service at the front desk is quick and efficient. I got the studio king room, which was spacious and most importantly, clean. Room service is done every day, which I appreciate. Buffet breakfast is included in the room rates, but honestly the food choices are limited. I stayed for... More

We visit Kuching at least once a year, as my wife have grown up children living there. The last time we stayed at Harbour View Hotel was 7 years ago, so we given an another go to this time. Very central location, almost on the on the Sarawak River Side, ideal for on Evening Stroll along the walk ways. The... More

I started to check-in this Hotel since it first open-ceremony day when I and family checked out from Camp Permai for a vacation. Since then, I come to like this hotel due to the best location with respect to shopping, foods and sight seeing. Less than 5 minute walk to the water front where you can enjoy a peaceful and... This hotel is strategically located at the waterfront. The hotel may be a little dated & old but it's location makes up for it. Ask for high floors with a river view. Delicious hotel buffet breakfast with a wide variety & a stall that makes egg freshly for you. Topspot seafood, Chinese eateries (local kopitiam), Chinese museum, souvenir shops, etc... More

Harbour View is an average hotel at slightly above average prices. Rooms are tired and in need of some TLC. The smoking rooms (which appear to be the majority) smell and need airing. The breakfast buffet is chaotic, with poor choice. However, it is located well for tourists in front of the river, a short walk to most things you... More
