We stayed here after bad experience at Bako Park, so tried to find a room at Hilton but it was fully booked. The hotel is not new (formerly was a Crown Plaza) and not very modern, but everything worked good and we stayed 2 nights without any problems. Staff very nice, very good breakfast. more

The on-line booking was handled very efficiently by Marilyn Thian and the service was excellent both at the front desk and the coffee shop. Stayed at the Crowne Plaza Riverside Majestic for 2 nights in early April 2009, and it was a memorable stay. We absolutely loved this hotel and can highly recommend it .we travelled with our two kids aged 3 and 8 and found the rooms to be very spacious. Was there on a convention and was glad that I had paid extra for a deluxe room on the 12th floor where the view was beautiful and we were give 2 queen/twin (I believe) sized bed and best of all I liked the bed and the comforter and choice of pillows! The Riverside Majestic although not a new address is well renovated and maintained. The rooms are large enough to hold a king-size bed, mini fridge, 14 inch CTV, writing desk & a two seater sofa. I spent one night at the Riverside Majestic after returning from Sibu and Kapit upriver. Last time through Kuching I stayed at the Hilton so switched to compare the supposed best two hotels in town.
