We stayed 4 nights at the hotel in early April. A very well location and high quality city hotel. Only about 5 minutes walk from China Town, the river front and local markets. i read one of the traveller's comment, merdeka palace is not as thattt bad as he wrote. Perhaps he got the room through discounted voucher, wins etc. I stayed there whenever im in kuching and rates are affordable and food (buffet) is delicious.
