Be warned - as others have stated the trip from Kuching to Batang ai is not for the faint hearted! (6 hours - broken by stops at a market and to visit a pepper farm - both extremely interesting) - but well worth the ride! The resort is a long trip from Kuching, but well worth the ride! The setting is unbelievable and very quiet and peaceful. I would not recommend staying more than 2 nights, you can do everything in that amount of time. The food is great at the restaurant, and the upriver/longhouse tour is a must! canopy walk is a must,very little bird life or wildlife. this hotel is used more for day trips out to various locations so very few people around the pool until 4pm so nice and quiet.Food is average drinks are expensive 25 ringit tiger beer for very small so take your own like our guide advised. more
