To me there are three components of a great hotel stay--location, facility and staffing. Kuching Hilton hits two of the three on target--location and staffing. Facility has some opportunities for improvement. During two stays in May, the drapes in my room never completely closed. They had been pulled so many times, the top was frayed. Bathroom was clean but not... More

The hotel's location is the best in Kuching. Its other strong points, eg first-rate service, ambience, amenities and room quality, make it still our top choice. The breakfast buffet is quite pricey at 40 Malaysian Dollars. The food selection is most satisfying. Try their very tasty version of the famous local Laksa!

Having read some of the other reviews I must say I am amazed at th negative reviews this hotel has attracted. I appreciate everyone is entitled to their opinion though so just wish to add mine having recently stayed there for five nights. The location is faultless and is right by the waterfront and views afforded down the river allow... More

The rooms and the bathrooms are big but without any charme. Anyway, the location is perfect and the breakfast is VERY good. Spend a bit more and get a room with river view, it's wonderful!

I have visited this city 3 times before and this is the first time I have checked into the Kuching Hilton. The impression as I first entered the lobby was that of a mini mall of sorts. There was too much happening in one place the sofas were too close to the entrance and the cafe had all these easter... More

The Kuching Hilton is probably the best choice for hotels in Kuching currently. There are other branded hotels auch as a Four Points Sheraton near the airport, and a new Novotel is being built nearby; however as of right now if you are staying in Kuching this is the place to stay. The checkin process was very easy, and we... More

Set on the river many of the rooms have a lovely view out over the river. Good location as you can walk along the river and to many of the attractions. Hotel staff were very friendly and effecient. Breakfast had a great selection of food with excellent service. Our room was clean and big enough for three people. Would definately... More

Hotel is in a great location. We stayed on the Club Floor. Rooms need a good makeover but view from room was stunning. We were on the 10th Floor looking straight down the river. Club lounge service was excellent with free wifi. Only criticism is that they allow smoking at end of lounge during day but not breakfast. Thought this... More

we stayed there in december 2008, had a room at executive floor. this is strongly recommended, as the normal restaurant/breakfast area is noisy and very busy. Location and view couldn't have been better. You can use the well-kept walkways along Sarawak river. The building itself is a concrete structure not too attractive, but rooms and lounge on the executive floor... More

Stayed three nights at Hilton Kuching after opulent Hilton Kuala Lumpur. Quite a comedown. Although typical Hllton management style is evident everywhere, the facility seems like it is struggling to catch up. Rooms are more like a six trying to be a nine:: bathroom tile grout is showing mould but vanity has new granite counters. Furniture is a bit dated,... More
