I spent four nights at Nook. The guesthouse is in a good location, with restaurants and the river a few minutes walk away. The best part of 'Nook' was the manager, Frankie. I found her so welcoming and helpful. Thank you Frankie for a fantastic, memorable trip:O)) I saw some other reviews here said they did not have keys to... More

The location was ok. The standard room we stayed in was clean but very very small. Basically a mattress on the floor with walls around it and since the walls didn't go all the way to the ceiling and no windows it's more like a box than a room. There's a lock on the door to the room but we... More

I stayed at The Nook for 7 nights, from 9 July 2013 to 15 July 2013. It is basically a no frills guesthouse much like the budget airline I took to fly to Kuching, You get what you pay for and to ask for more would be a tad unreasonable and unfair to the owner who does not charge you... More

If I were reviewing the staff, Nook would get a better rating, but as I’m reviewing the guesthouse, I can’t honestly give it more than two stars. My boyfriend and I came to Kuching for the RWMF and booked a deluxe double room at Nook for the week we were in town, at 60 rm/ night. Coming from Penang, where... More

I stayed a couple of days in Nook's place. The first time when I arrived, it felt like coming home. Everything was really easygoing, and the atmosphere was excellent. Frankie is very hospitable and she showed me around Kuching. I had a great stay!

I was in Kuching in 2012 & had a couple of "A+" experiences w/ Frankie at The Nook. I didn't stay there, but 2 times we hung around the lounge & patio getting to know some fellow travelers, talking about music & life & Malaysia & having an all-around great time. (Franky also showed a real classy gesture when she... More
