Seriously the service was second to none, not even a 5 star hotel can give u.Cyril, the owner made an effort to specially cooked for us traditional Sarawak cuisine that is not in the menu because me and my gf had a hard time finding it.Every cent that was spend there was really worth it.

Food and service need to be improve. Very disappointed. We are served with burned bbq chicken and have to wait for so long to be served. And feel like we are not welcome when we enter in. And the price is quite expensive......

Had nasi kebun (rice, fried chicken, chic curry, fried egg), ribeye n carbonara. Food was good. With cosy environmt. Entertained by manager. Had pool, fish spa, sauna with cottages around. Wooden themed surrounding.

We stayed at this place for one night after paying for five. It was the worst hotel experience. We had been to Vietnam the previous two weeks and thought we would unwind and treat ourselves in a luxury stay, which the hotel's photos suggest. The hotel is basically a suburban house set amongst industrial premises situated on a busy dual... More

Location is some 15-20 mins drive from the town centre; 20-25 Ringgits by taxi. The Secret Sanctuary is alongside a main road and traffic noise at night is a problem in at least one room. There is also noise from the popular bar and restaurant and the music played there, though to be fair Cyril the owner did offer to... More

We stayed in Cyril's place for three nights. There is so much thought put into the decor and design of this place which makes it a really unique and out of the ordinary place to stay. Our room was quirky and comfortable and the pool/hammocks/waterfall all very enticing. The food was very good and the bar area was really cool.... More

Where do I start....... From the moment I arrived I felt like I was truly on an unforgettable holiday that I will remember for the rest of my life. First of all the owner/manager Cyrill picked me up at the airport with a big smile and we proceeded to a market to purchase some fresh fish that he had previously... More

Upon arrival at The Secret Sanctuary you instantly feel like you are in a secret oasis, you are surrounded by lots of bamboo, flowing water and greenery. We stayed here for 4 nights in the "honeymoon suite", it was a large room with two double beds, a balcony and an en suite toilet and shower. The food here is great, and... More

This is a quirky place that is full of character; a definite must for thee traveller who does not like sleek, commercial chains with no soul. You are in the middle of the city but would never know it because of the greenery and natural furnishes...it does have a tropical feel about it. The owners, Cyril and Julia are very... More
