The secret sanctuary is made by the wonderful welcome provided by it's owner Cyril and his girlfriend Julia. The place itself is an oasis of calm although our taxi driver found it tricky to find, (I suggest you print off the map provided as it is slightly outside of the town itself). Cyril kindly arranged a few tours we wanted... More

We were allocated a two-bedroom rather-run-down house at the back. It had a bathroom attached but at times there was no water to wash and flush. The toilet floor was rather slippery and there wasn't... More

the jewel among the row of houses, this was dressed as cottage for holiday makers. Upon arrival, owner Cyril greeted us with a welcome drink. I bought a group of 16 here for a week on a business trip - wanted to try something different, not the "official" hotel downtown. It was just perfect - so great to come back in an evening to relax with our group. Food is wonderful and we just left it to Cyril (owner) to prepare whatever he wanted for... More

I only had two days in Kuching (mainly to see the Organs at the Sememgoh) and I didn't want to stay in a faceless hotel chain. There is lots to keep you entertained between the orangs, Kuching and the place itself. I will definitley be back to check out the more of the rainforest and cultural village. If you stay,... More

My husband and I traveled throughout Southeast Asia for three weeks and staying at the Secret Sanctuary was one of the highlights! The place is beautiful...we didn't want to leave! And the food is absolutely delicious...the best we had the whole trip! I don't know what kind of magic they do in that kitchen...but everything was fantastic! If you love... More
