We stayed here back in April 2014, the staff were exceptionally friendly, very helpful and we felt very welcomed as soon as we walked through the door. The rooms are spacious, very clean, well decorated and funky. The location is great for getting on tours, shopping, eating, or just wondering through Kuching. I can highly recommend Batik Boutique

Our time at the Batik Boutique hotel was a highlight of our travel through Borneo. The cozy atmosphere, the clean rooms with their special bathrooms and a nice chill out area made it easy to relax after a busy day. Jo-Lynn, as well as the whole team were very attentive and always there for a friendly chat and good travel... More

Such a quirky, funky and charming hotel. Loved the design of the rooms - and they are spacious. You get an iPod dock, very nice tea and coffee selection, and the laundry service was the fastest I ever had! The staff were very warm and friendly - and as other reviewers have said - it's like staying with your own... More

This was our third visit to Kuching and our third stay at the Batik Boutique Hotel. I have no idea whether this is a 5-star or a 3-star hotel - but it doesn't matter, because you'll feel 6-star. Where to start? The hotel is conveniently located in Kuching. The hotel is small - I would guess less than 25 rooms,... More

This B&B is spot on. It's really quirky, the staff are young, very helpful and friendly (esp. Jo Din - apologies for spelling). We had room 303 - Green with a white 4 poster framed bed. The room was very quiet (not overlooking the street), the bed and bedding was really comfortable - overall a great room! Impressed that you... More

Not a six-star hotel and not brand new, but so what? It's a little off centre, the staff do a lot more than the cursory "good morning" / "good evening", and it looks / feels clean enough. It's also walking distance to the waterfront, a couple of malls, a handful of bars / local eateries. Overall quite good given what... More

Batik Boutique is a great hotel in central Kuching, just 5 minutes from the Waterfront and Main Bazaar. Our room was lovely, bed was sooo comfy and despite being on a relatively busy road we weren't kept up by traffic noise. The room was nicely decorated and the bathroom had an amazing tub with lovely comp bath salts. Breakfast was... More

You're less than 5 mins from The waterfront, they welcome you with a local rice wine and a variety of a local cake. Lovely clean rooms, spacious, posh (boutique) coffee and tea faculties, yummy breakfast and complimentary water, and 2 complimentary soft drinks with iPod decks in all rooms.

This is a place straight from the sixties in its decor. It's a bit down at heal, but clean enough and it's character shines through! The staff are great, young, but rather relaxed and have an edge of quaint incompetence. If you fancy a trip out ask them about how to do it on the cheap: local bus, boat, self... More

We stayed in Kuching 4 nights and were very comfortable here. The staff welcomed us with tuak and kek lapis, so we checked those "to try" items off the list right away. We arrived pretty early in the AM, and our room was ready. The room faced the street and had great light if a bit noisy. Compared to other... More
