I was here for 5 days and found lovely people and quality stay. The place is beautiful if tou are looking fir peace out of the chaotic traffic of kuching. The bathrooms can be improved and you'll nees a car or a motorbike to move around. Beautiful place anyway. Thanks!

We (family of 5, 3 teenagers) had a wonderful stay in this fully renovated, recently reopened B&B. Owned by a Malaysian/British couple the place is beautifully situated, with great views, tastefully decorated, quiet and relaxed. Great pool and deck area. Lovely breakfast. You can unwind from the hustle and bustle of Kuching and Sarawak right here.

**Due to a tragic event, Nanga Damai is currently closed. Nanga Damai's owner (Policarp) is sad as no accommodation is offered to travellers at the present time, however the plan is to rebuild the house soon. We had the chance to experience their great hospitality, Policarp's amazing service, comfortable and clean spaces... We will surely be back once the house... More

We stayed there for 3 nights to visit the area. It was a really good choice, beautiful Guesthouse. Polycarp, the owner, was really nice : he was here to welcome us with some fresh beers, gave us a ride to go to the beach or restaurant when we needed, gave us the best tips on what to do during our... After 2,5 week of traveling around West Malaysia and Sarawak, we wanted the last few days of our holiday to be days of rest. Nature, a nice place to stay, a beach nearby and a place to relax. We found all of that at Nanga Damai, and more: a really nice owner, a lovely dog and very friendly guests. We... More

Nanga Damai was truly a homestay, with Louise and Polycarp as our gracious hosts. Their beautiful home was quiet and peaceful, at the edge of the jungle. Our room was spacious and clean, and a nice breakfast was provided each morning. Louise and Poly went out of their way to make sure we saw the local community, and helped us... More

We spend 3 days there and loved it. The swimming pool is beautiful. Rooms are simple but clean and pleasant. We stayed in the Wallace cottage and had our own balcony from which to observe the jungle. Very friendly and helpful hosts. Definitely would stay there again. It is a bit of a walk to the restaurants but you can... More

We started our vacation on Borneo with a 3 nights stay at this amazing place (was only supposed to be 2). We had read the good reviews and expectations were high, but it did not disappoint! The rooms, the pool, the owner, the staff, the surroundings (literally at the edge of the rainforest), the breakfast and night cap with the... More

n many ways the key component in any homestay is the host and I doubt there is any host anywhere that would or could do more to ensure his guests have an enjoyable stay than Polycarp. He was constantly offering us lifts to the local area and giving us useful advice when planning our stay. We also enjoyed chatting to... More

I stayed 5 nights at the beginning of May 2014 in the romantic wooden Wallace's Cottage, with a view on the jungle from the veranda. I had the chance to see a group of Silvered Leaf Langurs and another of Long-tailed Macaques out there. The well maintained swimming pool, between the cottage and the main house, was a blessing on...
