Going to Kuching for work was quite an experience and I admit that, not being a frequent traveller in Asia, I was more than a bit nervous. The Lime Tree was a good base for me. It was convenient for the convention (which was in a relatively expensive hotel ten minutes' walk away), plus for some reason the atmosphere of... More

The hotel locates nearby a traditional street. So, it is easy for reaching the ordinary stuffs in the trip. It may not be a new hotel but deserves to accommodate upon limited budge. The receptions are very nice.

We traveled from NYC to Tokyo to Singapore and then spent 3 weeks jumping around various destinations in Malaysia finally ending the trip in Hong Kong and when I asked my 14 year old son what his favorite hotel was he said The Lime Tree! It wasn't that it had the most amenities (no pool, bummer), nor was it the... More

We stayed for 6 days in the hotel - located in New Chinatown which is great for food but does mean it's a solid 15mins walk to get into the heart of Kuching. This isn't the worst thing as it gives you a chance to appreciate the streets and sights and it is an easy city to navigate. The room... More

We've stayed in The LimeTree hotel for 4 nights, and it was a very pleasant experience. The location of the hotel is quite central, the main bazaar and waterfront are a 15 minute walk away. The hotel staff provided us a map. The rooms are nice and neat, and it is great to see that this hotel has a lot... More

My husband and I and another couple stayed at this hotel. I wasn't expecting much but it was very bare bones. Nothing in the rooms, nowhere to sit. Which is fine for the price. The staff was very nice and the rooftop bar saves the hotel. Not right in the center but not a bad location. It is an easy... More

We really liked this small hotel. They got all the important things right - great and friendly service, good fresh breakfast, clean and quiet rooms, and great value. Would definitely stay here again if returning to Kuching. The only thing I would change is to put a chair in the room.

We (myself, husband and my sister) stayed in adjoining rooms/suite for 4 nights recently. The staff were so cheerful and helpful. The breakfast/café was great and the rooftop lounge a nice quiet area to relax. We would definitely recommend the Lime Tree Hotel.

The Lime Tree Hotel was very good. The staff bent over backwards to be helpful with booking tours, getting extra towels, courteous service at breakfast - in all, very good. We were upgraded which was also a plus. Breakfast choices were varied - a mixture of Western and Malaysian food, and the lime juice for breakfast was great. The rooms... More

I was pleasantly surprised at how good this was for the price we paid. The room was on the small side but since we were just there in the evenings it was perfectly manageable. It was in a reasonably quiet area, so sleep quality was good. Most importantly the room was clean, the beds were comfortable and the pillows reasonable.... More
