As a hostel, it's fine inside. Shared bathrooms are clean and there's nice homely touches in the room. Our a/c didn't work though and no fan. Ah well we thought, not the end of the world. So far, so good... But then the music started up in the bar across the road until 3am. We dismissed this as just being... More

Yep once you try this place you will be calling everyone baby and darling. I see the previous reviewer did not appreciate the Zachery experience. Not for everyone I guess but he was very helpful with local transport, hiring a motorbike, finding a good local place to eat and planning our journey up to Sabah. He will tell you the... More

Possibly the worst hostel I stayed in in S E Asia, I had to check out and move to another hostel. The rooms were quite clean, the bedding smelt very nice, but the beds were uncomfortable. The bathroom was kept pretty clean, but the shower room often smelt of piss, which I think maybe came from the drains. The shower... More

My family of four stayed here for four nights, kids loved the homely feel as did we. Zachary who runs it is super friendly and very helpful, even dropped us at a few places in his own car. Only downside is you need earplugs to sleep, though once they are in all is good.

Stayed here back in 2010 for a few nights whilst backpacking around SE Asia. It's in a great location (just a couple of minutes walk from the river/centre of town), rooms are an ok size (our bed was really uncomfortable) and the walls were paper thin so when people are staying up late drinking and talking we couldn't sleep -... It's very rare that i write a review on TA but this place definitely deserves it. I stayed at Tracks for 3 nights in a dorm room and had a very nice stay. The room and the hostel feels kind of new, relaxed and homey. All areas were always clean, were simply but nicely decorated. My room had a good... More

The best part of this hostel is its manager - he is very friendly and easy going guy, eager to do whatever it takes so that his guests would feel welcome in his hostel. He is full of advices on Kuching and Sarawak and can help to arrange tours or anything you need on your trip. The hostel itself is... More

I can honestly say after twelve weeks of travelling this is the first place I have felt inclined to write a review for. The Bed and Breakfast is nicely located near the center of the city, with modern clean rooms, well maintained showers (stayed for a week and they were always spotlessly clean!), a kitchen and upstairs chill out room...
