Stayed in the "old wing" for a week. Fourth floor. A few ants also in my room though not in the bed. Bed itself comfy, pillow a bit hard. Hot water was always there and yes, take care that you do not burn yourself it really gets hot. Wifi worked ok. Location is good. A supermarket and two mini-markets, several... More

The building is old and run down. Creepy rooms and lighting in the old wing. There were ants everywhere we looked in the bathroom, which was still ok for us. I couldn't take it anymore when I found a few crawling on my pillow and in the bed. We asked for a room switch and the front desk just handed... More

I only stay in budget hotels in Malaysia. This one is the first with hot water that's too hot. Took room on top floor (I like the exercise) and best water pressure yet experienced. Handy bar fridge. Daily maid service, clean sheets, comfy firm bed, pleasant staff. Ideally located. Backrooms very quiet overlooking greenery. TV limited to few Malaysian stations.... More

5 minute walk to waterfront. Basic clean rooms, with Wi-fi. Helpful staff. Beware 2 parts to hotel one of which has no lift. Can walk to most of museums which are free. Hotel Marguerite runs shuttle buses to cultural village and to semmingoh- cheaper than local tour operators.

Great location, 5 minute walk to the waterfront, two malls about five minutes away. Spring mall is a ten minute taxi ride or 30 minute walk depending how brave you are! A few bars also around this area but it is not loud and scary area! Check out the buskers at the waterfront in the evenings, also great food along... More

A great find in Kuching. Will always stay here when I return. Excellent location. Easy walk to all travelers interests; Waterfront, excellent restaurants, Sarawak Museum, China town, etc. Rooms on backside of hotel have best view. Staff very helpful in planning onward travel. Intersection in front congested before and after school. Convenience store next door. Internet available free.

Nice place with a good view in some of the rooms. Good location and clean. nice staff. Best to check a few of the rooms because of the cigarette smell but I have only been in 1 that smells bad and a couple that are fine.

This reminded me of a "pay by the hour" hotel. It is so dull and stinky, the carpet is full of cigarette burns, sheets ripped (although they were very clean) We booked for 4 nights and only stayed one, the mouldy, damp smell was so bad. If you have blocked nose...the upside is the cost and location are both very... More
