we stayed there with 16 other friends during the rainforest festival and honestly it was not that bad for the price we paid location is pretty good and most of the rooms were pretty clean the owners were very nice and helpfull and we could use the kitchen and even chill at the rooftop its a really good value for... Cheapest room I could find but the place is a dump. The whole place is kind of falling apart and its definitely not a place you'll meet people - despite their photos trying to imply something differently. That photo of people on the roof is a joke - that must have occurred years ago because right now that area is... More

We stayed here for a week off and on, by which I mean that we took trips and could leave our big bags while away. It did state on a notice that there was a charge to leave bags but we were never charged, perhaps because of our longer stay and the fact that one of the trips was organised... More

It was my first trip to Sarawak and Kuching and I was there for Kuching Marathon 2014. Stayed for 3N 4D through online bookings. Im grateful that i stayed there with a friend because it is kinda old and run down and quiet and hidden. Though the price was perfect for my budget trip. So here i list out a... More

I stayed at this hostel for three nights and had a very pleasant experience. Helga, the receptionist was fantastic, really friendly and very helpful with any questions, and nice to have a conversation with if you are just relaxing. The rooms are very basic but clean, though there was only one power socket. The toilets are also very clean and... More

Having made a reservation online for two double rooms with a/c we arrived and were told we had one room booked and the one we were shown was a fan room. After much debate and confusion and speaking to three different members of staff we were shown to two a/c rooms with en suite. We left our bags and after... More

With the exception of the check-in, which took quite a while for the staff to figure out which room we booked online but I believe was more of an English barrier than anything, we had a decent stay here. The rooms are very basic, think a bed with a small window. The showers were cold to luke warm at best.... More

Value for money. 16RM for a dorm. Basic facilities. They have hot shower. Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Travellers here are easy going. Very near city center and less than 10 minutes walk to bus station and local food court. I will definitely come back again!

All quite basic. We had double room with w.c. etc.. Small rooms. For 'breakfast included' there was a loaf of sliced bread, a peanut butter spread and instant coffee powder - basic is the word! You can make coffee anytime. Communal TV in kitchen. Small terrace with chairs mainly occupied by drying laundry.

It is a cheap but quite good hostel for the price. Staff is friendly and helpful. Rooms are clean, though mine had only the window to inner small yard, so it was very dark. Bathrooms and showers look quite outdated an not very clean. Kitchen with tea and coffee, and TV always available. Nice roof terrace and good deals for... More
