The Kuching Waterfront Hotel is a great place to stay. It is an airy old shop house on the Main Bazaar in the heart of Kuching's old shopping street and on the Sarawak River waterfront. The building is traditionally decorated, with lots of wood and rustic furniture. For all of its rustic charm, the rooms are well appointed: free WiFi,... More

I love this B&B for the following reasons: 1) Great location. 2) Great value for money (I noticed some comments about weird furniture or damp room. Well. If "good looking" furniture is what you are looking for, maybe you can try Hilton, at least three times the price). 3) The room I got was VERY charming. My window overlooks the... More

We stayed here twice, but only one night each time on different rooms, and we will do it again. It's not the best hotel but it has what you need for a decent price. Location: The hotel is well located, you will have lots of point of interest around, two big shopping centres, the national Parks office across the street,... More

Well located, basic but charming guesthouse. The Lodge is a former spice trader's shop house and the entrance and reception area has lots of historic character. The rooms and breakfast are basic, as you would expect for the price but it is kept very clean. The staff are friendly and helpful. It's well located and doesn't suffer from too much... More

We stayed here for 5 nights as a couple. The hotel has heritage decor and furniture. The garden room we were in was damp and had a very strong musty smell pretty poor. Wi fi was not available only down in the lobby area. Plus side the staff were very friendly and helpful. Don't get to excited about the breakfast... More

The waterfront hotel is a cozy quiet place with friendly and helpful staff. Its also very good value for money and is in a great location. I would recommend this place to anyone who want to relax for a few days in kuching.

Very helpful staff, excellent location, clean & quiet room, decor and furniture suit heritage and add character. Staff were happy to help with my luggage, book me a taxi and help me with a Wi-Fi problem, all at no charge. Would stay there again

Walk straight out the hotel into a popular area, right next to the river. Room was basic but clean with working AC and a surprisingly good shower. Staff were helpful and friendly. They provide different kinds of lockers for your valuables which is a thoughtful and really helpful touch.

Pro: Staff at front desk very helpful and friendly, Chinatown, colonial area, mall all located in the streets behind the hotel. Con: Wifi in lobby area only (get bitten by mosquitoes at night in the lobby), poor reception for TV channels (limited choice). You must pay the total amount of your stay upon arrival in cash.

Overall: rustic, rooms are a bit musty, a weird mixture of Chinese and ethnic design - great location (but so is everything in Kuching as it's a really tiny city) 5 TV channel, only BBC news in English - Aircon goes cold or very cold If you want an extra blanket or pillow, you have to pay 4 and 3...
