this is a local and convenient place - not a package holiday hotel but was perfectly comfortable and incredibly well located. we were there with two adults and two children, and it worked fine. small room but clean and neat.

We enjoyed our one night stay at Berambih The staff were very friendly and helpful. The rooms are very small but adequate and had aircon. The lodge is located close to the waterfront and there's a self serveice laundry just around the corner. The furnishings in the common area are traditional and homely.

Pros: -Receptionist was lovely. Helpful and friendly. -Breakfast room and sitting area were charming. -2 mins to the waterfront. -24hr laundromat around the corner. -Drinks sold in the guesthouse were good value (only 50 sen to 1MYR more than in a supermarket). Cons: -Wifi was weak. -Shower rooms weren't cleaned well. -Room was stuffy. -Bed linen wasn't changed. -Our room... More

The room was small but clean. The aircond is cold, hihi.. The bathroom was shared but clean with hot water. No breakfast included. Overall, it's just perfect for those who need a place to sleep, bathe & changing. Perfect for backpackers!

rooms are very basic, with air-con but no window, enough clean. friendly and helpfull staff, good wifi service also in the room. should improve the breakfast: just coffe/tea and toast with a couple of jam (and some ants inside them...) and the bathroom: just two showers and only one wc. the "lobby" is really nice! recommended if you are easy-going..

This is a little belated, as we stayed at Berambih Lodge in April but upon finally signing up to trip advisor I just had to review one of the best places we stayed on our 5 month trip. The location was excellent, and staff were very friendly and helpful. We had an AC room at the top of the lodge,... More

We stayed here for 3 nights and really enjoyed it. The common area is really cosy, has loads of DVDs plus satellite channel and also has a communal kitchen area which has everything you need and is very clean. The rooms are basic be and cupboard with a mirror but that's all you need. Some rooms come with or without... More

We stayed at Berambih Lodge for 4 nights at the beginning of April 2012. Initial thoughts was that the building has an authentic Sarawak feel to it with its long-house style. Positives: - Its very affordable place for the budget traveler and is right in the heart of Kuching's China town, not far at all from the waterfront and bus... More

they have a nice decorated entrance, and common area. But I'm sort of a bit disappointed when i get to see the rooms, well, it is a decent room, but maybe the nicely decorated entrance made me expect more...

The place was fine and the communal area was a nice touch but there where lots of biting insects around here, the room was also comfortable and fine for the price but I saw my only cockroach here in all my time in Borneo (not that I am fussy) so I have to rate it down for that. The showers... More
