The rooms here are quite basic and it is quite a distance away from KK city centre (about 30mins by taxi). The restaurant is a nice place to sit and watch the sunset over the beach. Staff are helpful. Definitely a 'budget' option.

This hotel was not my choice - it was the final day of a (very enjoyable) Intrepid Trip called Borneo Adventure. But people need to understand the beach right out the front of this 2-star hotel is nothing less than a rubbish tip Several of our group decided to take a walk along the beach but gave up once they... This was our last night accommodation with an Intrepid trip and it was totally unacceptable. It is 20 km south of Kota Kinabalu (over an hour drive in traffic) in an industrial area. Tours will not pick you up here and taxis charge extra. The accommodation is old, poor repair and generally dirty. Wifi poor to non existent. "Beach" is... More

It is a basic hotel with a nice enough pool close to the sea. Rooms and sunbeds look a bit worse for wear but ok enough for a budget place. However, we had money stolen from our room. Someone looking like housekeeping walked in but when we came back a bit later the bed wasn't even made (which maybe should... More

We stayed 3 nights in Room Number 1 - this has the best position - on one side a shared balcony although no one else ever used it, and on the other side another seating area leading up to the dining area. it overlooks the sea and you can hear the waves lapping all day. breakfast was basic but ok.... At the end (or beginning) of a memorable trip through Sabah, enjoy a stay at the Seaside Travellers Inn. No frills accommodation and meals right on the beach away from the bustle of Kota Kinabalu but within reach of the town and airport etc. Rooms with a low number are in the old part of the hotel next to the... Spent a couple of nights here. It is relaxing by the water. Rooms are reasonable. Beds comfortable. Shower hot. Staff helpful. You can catch a local bus easily enough into KK. Restaurant is quite good. Sunset is beautiful on the restaurant deck. Walking across to the Islands at low tide is possible.

It is a nice place to relax and read some books due to phone reception is quite bad over there. It is quite budget to stay there if you just want to relax and walk on the beach. However, only bread and oat are provided as breakfast. Too limit and no choices. At least half boiled or boiled eggs provided... More

We have just had possibly our last stay at the Seaside Travellers and were were so sad to finally leave. We have met some of our best friends here, stayed with parents, parents in law, and took my baby on his first holiday there at the ripe old age of 3 months. Seaside Travellers is quite possibly the best place... More

This place has a great location - outside of the city, on the seaside. The sea is not swimmable as it is quite dirty, but makes a nic atmosphere and place to relax. The rooms are very basic - you just want to use it for the night to sleep. Good thing is that there are seats and benches at... More
