The best welcome we've had to an hotel. Staff very friendly, food excellent, hard to ask for more. Location is out of town, so you realy want to go there to relax or hire a car. We arrived at the hotel after a long transfer and were greeted by a wonderful hostess from reception, asking us to be seated in the soft chairs nearby, offering us a cool drink and ensuring that she did the check in for us whilst seated...no standing at reception at this hotel! Great hotel and even the basic rooms are stunning. But only one pool for that the standard rooms can use, which is full of children and slides. Needs a second pool (adults only) that all guests can use. Staff were helpful but never seemed to be going out of their way. Great beach and sunsets. Very nice but 3 days... more

Arriving at the hotel we were greated with a gong. Check-in was immediate and one-to-one in a lounge setting with a cool drink and face towel. Service was impeccable from beginning to end. Had room service on first night as room is wonderful (garden view), with lounge area down a step and a deep balcony with lovely view of palms.... more

Took my elderly mother on a holiday. Thought that sitting by the pool doing nothing would be ideal...and it was! From our midnight arrival (still received the complimentary drink) to our departure I could not fault the service, the hotel and the amenities. We've had beach holidays before, but nothing prepared us for our first Shangri-La Beach Holiday.
