We had an event in this place. While we were carrying instruments into the hotel, they want us to use their back lift and not their lobby, which was ok. But when asked for a trolley to carry the stuffs, their staff said that they don't have any. Even worse, their staff did not lift a finger or even to... More

Based on my personal experience, this hotel is below expectation. Not very cooling air conditioner, toilet flush doesn't work well, television is way too small, no wifi available on the room. Should have choose the other hotel than this though but the location is pretty okay, will only choose this one again if there's no available hotel on kota kinabalu.... More

Let me clarify the title. Sometimes, the hotel lobby may not look anything nice, but the room is great. However, in this case of The Palace Hotel KK, while the lobby is modern, the Palace Suite is nothing like the lobby. Conventional, dirty, small and only 2 power plugs in the room. Come on? Whatever I have viewed on the... More

When we arrived they put us in a room in the basement next to the function room. Our view was a car park and there was a very loud disco going on. We complained and they moved us to the fourth floor for about £40. The wifi wasn't working on our floor but the room was fine. Comfy bed, nice... More

I stayed there for three nights. I stayed in the basement floor which means there is no window in your room. It would be better if I had windows, but I can't complain because it was the cheapest room in the hotel. Good thing was their facilities. There is a swimming pool, sports gym, restraint, and a karaoke bar. I... More

We stayed in one of the basement rooms, no window, which was fine but boy do you sleep heavily there. Be sure to set an alarm. Breakfast buffet is big but mostly catered to Asian breakfast tastes (fair enough, as it's in Asia). They had waffles, a guy who could fry you an egg, but were a little light on... More

I stayed here 3 nights (Jesselton full as always). This was a good second choice. It is a bit uphill, has small pool facing the forest. 15 minute walk from the city centre. A nice veranda outside the restaurant looking down on the pool, an facing the forest. Staff very friendly, wi-fi good (could stream tv-programs from Sweden). Breakfast fine.... More

It's much nicer now than it was 3 years ago when i stayed last time. It's out of the way and quiet yet close to anything you may need ie. karamunsing is just down the hill. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The breakfast buffet was 80% basic local but the other 10% was real good especially the belgium... More

Front Desk staff very fast & efficient to check us into Room 216 on 16 January 2014. Room is clean, spacious with comfortable bed. It has complimentary coffee/tea with free wifi services. It is located within walking distance to a shopping center with eateries and the hotel do provide free shuttle services to city center. Welcome drinks are choices of... More
