I liked the Palace for it's modern and bright rooms. It's worth it for that I guess if you need a bit of a splurge from the regular cement rooms of Borneo. The pool is nice too. But it's a bit outside the center, the food is pretty mediocre, and the wifi was really terrible while we were there -... More

This hotel my look aged from the facade but they have already refurbished their room to look modern. Location: A little deserted. Far from the city centre. Room: Modern, clean, quiet and sufficient. Facilities: Outdoor pool with changing/locker rooms & gym Breakfast: Buffet style Overall: Pleasant stay

We stayed for 5 nights. The room was large and the staff freindly. the bed linen although clean had holes in it and very few towels that had to be used for the pool as well . Wi Fi was very patchy. Breackfast was very asian orintated and eco friendly does not mean being stingy with everything. Very dissappointed to... More

I stayed for 2 nights in this hotel for a little bit of 'luxury' and it was great. The staff on reception spoke superb English and are friendly, the gym was more than reasonable for me, pool a bit on the small side but they are in progress of making it larger. The restaurant was good, i ate there both... More

The Palace looks okay in pictures, but the place reeks of mold. I stayed on the third floor and the smell is my room was horrible, and it horrendous in the basement where the gym, pool and steam room are located. Plus, I had no hot water. The breakfast buffet was not good. They cook the eggs in advance and... More

I was a little skeptical of the hotel, simply based on the price. I was pleasantly surprised to have a simple, but very functional, very clean room. I arrived at 2am and the front staff was very accommodating, changing my room from a twin to a queen with no hesitation. I like the fact that the water for the room... More

We stayed here for 5 nights. The first room in the basement was very musty so we asked to be moved. The second room they realised had a power fault so they upgraded us to the 3rd floor. The room was comfortable and clean but the air con was so loud it was difficult to sleep. The desk and lobby... More

We stayed here for three nights with a night away in the middle to go to climb mount kinabalu. The hotel happily looked after our luggage for us. Check in was simple and our rooms both times were spacious and clean. Breakfast buffet is good, especially the egg chef. However we thought breakfast went until 1030 and so after climbing... More

We stayed in the palace hotel twice and really enjoyed our stay. Its a nice location away from the noise with a convenient free shuttle service to the centre of kk. The pool and fitness area are great. We were lucky to be upgraded the first time due to a administration error which they handled quickly and professionally, great service... More

Check-in was friendly and simple and the lobby staff were very nice. The room was large, but very tired and worn. There were quite large gaps between the window and the walls and, as we had a room overlooking the pool and the trees, this was a little problematic - I'm quite a delicacy for bugs and skeeters. The breakfast... More
