This is our second trip back to Tanjung Aru. The hotel is getting slightly old now, and could do with some maintenance. However, the beauty of the compound and the great views of the ocean more than make up for it. Many actives available here for the entire family. Great place to get away and just to relax and get... We stayed at Tanjung Aru Shangri-La hotel for 4 nights and it has beed a pleasant stay. We upgraded to the Club where breakfast/snacks/drinks/dinner are inclusive & don't have to rush downstairs to meet the crowds. We also upgraded to the sea view room but i won't recommended as the sea view got blocked by the trees. Most of the... More

Amazing service from all the staff, the rooms were immaculate and the facilities superb. Plenty of choice for food and drink. The city is close enough to visit as often as you choose with a taxi costing just RM30 when we visited, coincidentally the same as the taxi from the airport to the resort. The attention to detail was second... More

Stayed here on arrival in kk for 2 nights, good hotel excellent facilities, not too expensive, very busy bit sunset bar was amazing and prawn bucket at the pool was good value. We stayed in the Kinabalu wing the room was of a good standard but the tanjung wing looked like it had been updated. If you want a nice... More

There are 3 kinds of employee at shangri la tanjung aru. First, employee that give us smile and greet us warmly. Second, employee that do not give any attention to guest (just pass by since we don't know each other). And third, busy employee that seemed like we disturbing her while she was busy (only one employee like this, but... More

I was staying here for 3 nights with my family and found that the hotels has everything for my family and kids. Shangrila is the best choice hotel compare with Sutera Harbour which I just stayed there recently too in terms of service, food and facilities for the kids.

Really nice rooms, once you get access, amazing pool and beach and the service outside checking is fabulous. First impression counts, the reception process is miserable, really small cramped space, cases everywhere, lots of staff doing not much. Bad start but got better. Not as good overall as the rasa ria

We stayed here for 2nights at the beginning of our Borneo Adventure Holiday and it was perfect, however i would recommend the sister hotel Rasa Ria for anyone wanting longer then 2 night stay. The tanjung is only 10 minute drive from KK airport and like us the vast majority of the guest were on a short stop, this did... More

The room was very good. Guest relations was soooooooo good. The lobby's and public spaces atmosphere was soooo good. The dining named Ta-To has many kinds of meals. I will recommend for all of family-travelers, even for kids.
