Pro's Location A/C Hot Showers Cheap Clean Con's Loud (bar next door) It was a good place to sleep. Really close to everything and great local restaurants around. Avoid the western bar style ones, there over priced.

We came here with no expectations and that helped :) It is a small guesthouse with 5 rooms. You get what you pay for since KK is expensive compared to other places in SE-Asia. There is a pub nearby and you can here it all the night but we could sleep :) the AC in our room was very good... More

This is very basic accommodation, but what more do you need than a bed (a/c available), bathroom and wifi. The wifi signal reached the rooms which was convenient. The owner/manager of this place is a sweet and helpful lady, able to answer our queries about how to keep busy in kota kinabalu.

I booked 1 night on booking.com and even though I stayed in the room at 20 ringgint I had to pay 25 because I booked via internet. There was only 1 key per dorm, which was a small room with 3 bunk beds, very noisy place too! No locker as well! The breakfast was fair though. There are other good... More

Budget travel in Malaysia is a challenge and no greater challenge is Borneo and in particular Sabah. The Asia Adventure Lodge is a small backpacker lodge in the centre of the tourist area in Gaya Street, Kota Kinabalu. There are a total of 6 rooms being a mix of small dorms and private rooms. We stayed in a private double... More

I stayed in their Hostel for 4 nights and was just amazed how friendly they treated me during my stay. They will help you with everything and can also organize trips for a good deal, which is always easier and cheaper than doing it through an agency. The rooms are good for the price and breakfast is included. Bathrooms and... More

We stayed here for one night as it was the cheapest room we could find in the area (RM50 per night, airco, no window, shared bathroom). Room was okay, bathroom and toilets were good, wifi was good, staff was really friendly and helpfull. The only thing was the music from the bar next door. It went on till late in... More

Worst nights sleep of my entire life. Don't know what it's like to stay on any other night but DO NOT STAY ON A SATURDAY NIGHT! The bar nearby will keep you awake until 0230 and the Sunday Market will wake you up at 0630 sharp with loud music and some strange xylophone bashing. The room was incredibly basic with... More

This place is pretty sweet. The rooms don't have windows but who needs a window? A window is just a hole in your wall that wakes you up with sunlight in the morning. Forget windows. Come to the darkside. I slept in longer at this place than I have in any other place I've stayed in my 5 months of... More
