Staying here for a week in late October on Business trip. As it is understood to be a big hotel with 200+ rooms, we had to wait a bit ( say, 15 minutes) for Check-in and the check-in time is 3:00 pm. The receptionists were helpful an\d friendly. The room assigned was in middle floor and the View was not... More

Room was fine, although not massively spacious and little things weren't working like remote, bedside lamp etc. Things were clean if a little dated for the price. But in a great location and staff are really friendly. Food is ok a at breakfast.

We spent 10 days at the Gaya Centre Hotel, and if we ever go back to Kota Kinabalu we would stay there again. Yes the carpets are a bit old, yes the Wi-Fi was awful (8th floor), yes the TV wasn’t the best quality picture, but…… the bed was very comfortable and the room was always cool and clean. The... More

The hotel was located superbly with the best shopping mall in the city right outside it and the proximity to restaurants, bars, and the pier. Rooms were very small and quite run down and there was quite a bit of street noise which if you are a light sleeper you will have problems with. The staff were great, all helpful... More

Having visited 4 years ago when it was a new hotel....I can't believe how much it has deteriorated! The rooms were ok but smelly, the bathrooms were absolutely disgusting! It seemed like they hadn't had a good clean in four years! The staff at reception were really rude and useless, our plane was 3 hours late and we didn't arrive... More

GCH is located conveniently near shopping malls like suria sabah and wisma and the glass. its also walking distance to souvenior shops, eating places (bak kut teh) and massage place. Breakfast was good except there wasn't stiring spoon for the hot tea.

There really is NOTHING positive to say about this hotel! It is a total S*** hole! I have no idea of the price, but it must be cheap! We were put here by Malaysia Airlines after our flight from Tawau to Kota Kinabalu was so late we missed our connecting Dragon Air flight from KK to Hong Kong. The on... More

Title says it all really, really good view of the sea from the room. Unfortunately like many others have mentioned here, there was a terrible smell of sewage in the bathroom. The bar staff in the downstairs bar where great, very friendly and nothing was too much trouble. The room itself was very tired and the whole hotel could seriously... More
