I would recommend that you find somewhere else. Too loud to sleep, incredibly hot and sticky, bucket showers and very very basic facilities. There are much better hostels in KK for the same price, try North Borneo Cabin just up the road, so much better.

The lodge was ok for the money and was clean and in a central location but the noise from the road was so noisy, it was difficult to sleep at night. When we went to check-out at noon, the man at reception told us the check-out was at 11am (Told him it said 12 noon on the back of the... More

Don't go here! It's disgusting. The rooms are not nice; wierd smell, dirty sheets and hair in our bed that wasn't ours. The shared bathrooms were horrible (I'm not usually sensitive); they smelled bad and hadn't been cleaned properly, the toilet leaked. Go to "Summer Lodge" on the other side of the road instead; the rooms are nicer and cheaper... More

Not the best place we've stayed in for the price, but not the worst either. Toilets & showers were OK but could have been cleaner, Beds OK but not the comfiest & lots of noise from bars across the road on one side, and main road on other. Kitchen really lacking - nowhere to cook even simple meals, 2 toasters... More

Budget accommodation isn't great in KK but there is better than this. Don't expect much for breakfast even milk or coffee creamer was too much to ask for to compliment the stale bread. The 'hot' shower pressure from the hose could have been better (or even worked at all) and the rooms are akin to prison sells. Loud nightly music... More

Very good location, close to all KK amenities and the Sunday market is held in the same street. Been Malaysia not the cheapest in South-est Asia accommodation wise, here u get what u pay for and this place is a good option if you just transiting through Kota Kinabalu for a day The staff is excellent, very helpful. The room... More

Is totally not that clean as what we though. Bathroom smelly, corridor dirty. Is not comfortable to stay here. And for some room, does not offer bathroom, we have to use public bathroom outside corridor. Add-on, bathroom leaking. Totally bad.

It is only 45 MYR for a double bed with twin fans. No need for A/C for me although it is available for 10 MYR more!!! The best value place I could find after trolling the streets of KK for awhile. If you want all the mod cons and yuppie comforts in KK then think of maybe getting a 100MYR... More

The prices are the best in the area however the rooms are disgusting. The windows can't be closed and the curtains are see through and flimsy. I was kept up all night because of noises from outside and in the hallways were easily heard. Wifi did not work in the room. The only positive was the friendly and helpful staff... More

The place is cheap - thats the good part of it. And they have filtered tap water for drinking, tea and coffee. Wifi is good in the reception area, but doesn't work on the 4th floor. Enough of the common areas, so you don't have to stick on your bed, but they aren't that cosy or nice... The rooms, corridors... More
