If you want to get a short break away from the city or looking for a place to stay during business travel, this is the hotel to be. Yes - Putrajaya is a city but rather a garden city. Being the federal administrative center it offers various facilities for visitors. The hotel is just like any other Shangri La chains... More

A weekend well spent with family. The rooms were immaculate and ultra comfortable. We were instantly upgraded to a family room upon check in, without us saying a word - which suited the 4 of us very well (us, 10 yo and 7 yo). We loved the beautiful & clean swimming pool. A shade at a corner of the pool... More

My first time staying at the Shangri-La Putrajaya. No doubt the service is good, the staff are polite, efficient and available, the rooms are comfortable, equipped and pretty much have everything one needs, but there is a feeling of being somewhat let down, and perhaps you leave either wanting or expecting just a little bit more. Having said that, the... More

I stayed two nights and slept very well. But nothing around the hotel. It was no problem for me since my business partner offered transportation to the conference venue in Cyber Jaya, IT centre, I failed to find attraction for pleasure travelers. The Cyber jaya is now connected with high speed train to the KL Central Station of which complex... More

The Putrajaya Shangri-La is an elderly, faded princess filled with devoted servants who still see the beautiful woman she once was, now aged, the inexorable passing of time catching all of us with taunting inevitability, a reminder that the most beautiful things in the world don’t last and neither will you. So, don’t judge her too harshly. I imagine she... More

The prices for this hotel are very good considering its prestige and fame. I expect that this is because of its location in Putrajaya: far out of the centre of a city that doesn't get many visitors anyway. We paid about a third of what we pay for five star hotel rooms in Europe. And the service and luxury were... More

I've frequented this hotel several times but only recently had a chance to stay at one of their rooms. The hotel itself enjoys a very scenic and central location for the country's administrative capital, but unfortunately the overall feel of this hotel is one that is ragged and under developed. The rooms, given the normal standards of Shangrila could be... More

Shangri La is usually a brand of quality and my experience confirms that except in Putrajaya. Rooms smell musky but not in comfortable. Front desk staff are polite but can't answer questions effectively. Staff in restaurant outlets are extremely courteous but mostly incompetent and tardy with no ability to deal with anything extraordinary like taking orders for a la carte... More
