Beautiful character building in great location. We stayed in one of the most expensive and very spacious rooms but the noise from nearby clubs and next door hawkers hut went into the early hours of the morning. Also the traditional wooden furniture was in keeping the building but just a single comfortable lounge or chair would have allowed some relaxing... More

Wonderful, enchanting historical hotel, full of character and the staff is excellent. One of the highlights of our trip. Our room was lovely. It is recommended to stay away from the Food Court because of the noise but we did not hear it at all. The buffet breakfast wasn't all that great and because the hotel was busy, we did... More

The Blue Mansion offers a perfect alternative to those who, like us, want to escape the boredom of sameness. Here, it is all about ambiance. You may either be impressed by the grandeur of the mansion or be amused by its intricate architectural details. Walk through the house, sit in one of the quiet courtyards, look at the changing lights...... More

The Blue Mansion maybe costly than other hotels in that area, but I guarantee you it is worth every penny. Staying here, you will have a chance to stay in a legendary Malaysian millionaire's house, Cheong Fatt Tze, he was even named as Asian Rocky Feller. Normally, if you aren't a guest of the hotel, you have to pay fee... More

What a pleasure to stay at this great location. Close to the Red Garden Food Court, where there is a great variety of food at very reasonable prices. Our room was lovely. Best to stay on the side away from the Food Court because later at night there is Karaoke that gets pretty loud. Fortunately we couldn't hear it at... More

We stayed 2 nights in this wonderful house. The house itself is absolutely worth visiting it however to stay we do not recommend. We went to the restaurant for lunch and had a Cesar salad soaked in a garlic sauce with so much garlic in it you could kill all vampires on earth. The Internet in the room did not... More

Dear Bettina C., Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We are pleased that you enjoyed our mansion but regret to read that parts of your stay did not live up to expectations. It is a shame you did not enjoy your Caesar Salad. If you had brought this to our attention during your meal, we would... More

My husband and I loved The Blue Mansion building. The breakfast wasn't very nice, no option to order anything just a buffet! We also left out luggage with reception as we had a later flight, when we came back in the afternoon we couldn't find any staff, we ended up going in the room where everyone's luggage was stored and... The mansion has really good sized rooms and I loved the period detail of the old style keys and how the rooms are named (instead of numbered) - I had the "Towkay"! There are common rooms facing the internal courtyard to lounge in on the 2nd floor and you get to have breakfast at the main courtyard in a very... More

This beautiful Chinese Mansion, known also as Cheong Fatt Tze Mansion served as a boutique hotel as well as a museum. We stayed at this hotel as we were intrigued to experience the historical and cultural ambience it boasted. Service was amazing especially by the manager, Mr James Lim, who is very friendly, full of local insights and tips and... More

After reading other reviews and looking online at pics I was worried it might not meet my expectations. Happy to say all were met. We stayed in The Kitchen Room and it was large and cool and the jacuzzi in the bathroom was absolutely wonderful at the end of a long hot day of walking the streets of Georgetown. There... More
