Recommend for the cost, not too expensive, booked from agoda, with cheap food options less than a block away. Room was large and spacious, clean but room service did not top up tissue papers and toiletries, even when requested. That's a lil turn down. Insulation wasn't so good that you hear people outside opening and closing the doors or talking... More

I'm not sure why this hotel was given so many good reviews. But I was very disappointed. We booked a family room. There were 4 bath towels but no hand towels and no face towels. Here was no cups for us to brush our teeth with either, although toothbrushes and toothpastes (also comb, shaver, etc) were provided. There was a... More

What I liked: The hotel is within walking distance to coffeeshops and street food stalls. There is no problem getting cheap and good food. Pranglin Mall, Komtar and 1st Avenue are within 10min walking distance (at my walking speed). As for the building, you do get a historical feel. Although by the Tune group, it is run like a normal... The hotel is one of the tallest building in the vicinity and is quite well known so it can act as a landmark to guide you home. otherwise the front desk staff are friendly, telling us directions to reach places and eateries at very late timings. However they did not replenish the toiletries so we had to ask them the... More

This hotel is affordable. I guess that is one of the main reason why I decided to stay there. There are numerous hotels in Georgetown, Penang. A few days before my trip, i decided to call a few hotels to make some enquiries. I have to admit the operator of this hotel who answered my phone call was really nice... More

This is a fairly nice hotel located near many attractions HOWEVER-I agree with others who complained about it being noisy. Firstly there is a nearby mosque with call to prayer 5 times a day, nice if you think of it as 'local color' h*ll if you are trying to rest. Furthermore, there are 2 sets of chairs with table on... This hotel is not on Armenian St, it is on Carnarvon, a busy throughfare with lots of traffic. It is near a really noisy mosque. The acoustics are terrible and you hear doors slamming all the time. The walls are thin, and to cap it off they hold parties here. Really loud parties. Bizarrely enough I like to relax in... More

I was pleasantly surprised to know that not only the hotel is located right across from the Georgetown World Heritage Inc. office, but location-wise is in between everything -- 5 minutes walk to the left to the Komtar and Art Depot, 5 mins walk to the right to the heritage area, 5 mins walk to the back to Little India... If you are looking for some nice and quiet hotel stay. Look elsewhere. Have been staying here for a few months and all was well until the Sky Bar at rooftop opened since Dec 14. No way am I coming back to this hotel. If you do not mind sharing the same lift with drunkards and also having some drunkards... More
