Great location in the China Town area short walk from good food places. Was in the 6 bed dorm. Room clean with plenty of lockers. Only downfall was the really creaky bunk beds. Every time someone moved the room was woken up by the creaking. Bathrooms clean and plenty of cubicles. Showers really hot and powerful! Laundry service punctual. Communal... More

It's a budget accommodation in the great location, near bus terminal and food areas. Bad thing is that it accepts the payment made by cash only. Travellers sometime don't bring much money while travelling. They prefer to pay by credit cards and cashier's check. My suggestion is it should accept credit cards.

Kimberley House is in a great location near the main shopping mall. We stayed in both the double and twin rooms. It was very clean and big rooms. It seems a very big hostel which to us felt more like a budget hotel than a place for backpackers. Would definitely recommend to others.

Though the hotel is just located at Kimberley road, but we still spent half hour to find it.Maybe the hotel can change another more eye-catching signboard.(Who want to find Kimberley House can indentify the bright-red signboard.) Kimberley House is really good location! It's just five minutes from Komtar that convenience for taking bus to Panang hill, the airport or other tour scene. In... More

Great hostel, clean (except for the wall in the common room), beautiful rooms, halls and showers. This place is very good for it's price. Only 1 major downside: the internet is not working most of the time. If you can live with that, this place is the best!

Overall a good stay but when we booked, we were not aware it was a shared bathroom or that the room didn't have a window. Pros are that the room was big and clean with both air con and fan. Good wifi also and very close to the main shopping malls in Georgetown. Would recommend staying here as it's good... More

I stayed on May'14. Good location, the hostel is surrounded by many nice food stalls & hawkers, very near to local attractions. The 4 nights stay experience is excellent! I stayed at single room, it's spacious, with nice room decorations, and cold aircond! Bathroom is clean, and they do provide hair-dryer also. The staff is very friendly, they provide great... More

My friend and I stayed there for 4 nights in April and we were quite happy with our choice. The guesthouse is well located. It is only a few steps away from the street food stalls. It is also close to Free Shuttle Bus stops, a shopping mall and Komtar bus station. Our room was nice and clean. Shared bathrooms... More

I stayed here for 4 nights when I visited Penang and it was a great stay! Very clean rooms and bathrooms, and great staff. There is aircon in each of the rooms and grey value for the price. The location is very close to the mall and bus station a very close to some awesome places to eat!!!

Able to check in earlier since we reached Kimberley House half an hour earlier. - Friendly and helpful staffs, allowed us to take a shower even though we had already checked out(since we sweat a lot), and provide map & explain to us where is the attractions, what to eat in Penang. - Shared bathroom are clean and comfortable -...
