We stayed for 4 nights, i really liked our big room with its huge fan! The chinese owner was nice, booked a minvan to Malaysia for us and organized a Scooter rental that wasnt that expensive like the rest. Unfortunatly the bathrooms were not clean:-(

First, the price is great. It is maybe 15 meters off Love Lane and half the price and nice rooms. The shared toilet is in the first floor which is a bit of an inconvenience if you are on the second floor. Wifi works best by the reception area. Owners are nice. There are two rooms that back the old... More

This is our second visit to Pin Seng. First time was great - clean, cheap rooms, friendly owner and, most important for us, somewhere to park our tandem. This visit however is not so good. There is a whining, grizzling toddler hanging around all day and last night between the hours of midnight and five a.m. one of the long... More

We have been staying in Pin Seng hotel for 3 nigts. The rooms have a backpacker standard: a twin or two loose beds with thin matress, a sink, a small table and a big fan hanging on the ceiling. Rooms are clean. Upstairs you will have the switch for lights and fan just outside your room. We changed rooms after... More

I was in this hotel last week after meeting some backpackers. It's a very cheap hotel in the China Town part of Georgetown, Penang, Malasya. If you have no money to spend, go here but be aware... Some rooms have no windows that can be closed. This means that a lot of musquitos will come to you at night. Also,... More

25 MR for double room. You cannot go wrong with that and it's the cheapest accomodation we have found in George Town. Our room was really old but the bedsheets were clean. Celling fan worked well, however nights in George Town can get quite hot. Bathrooms were clean and there's nice communal area on the top floor. Location is perfect... More

Walked straight in off the bus and found what we were looking for a nice cheap room in a great location. 25RM per night, shared bathroom, no problems. Wifi in and around the reception area only but this wasnt a problem for us as there was so much to see and do in Penang anayway. Cheap drinks on site, staff... More

Pin Seng Hotel is a traditional guesthouse in George Town, offering very good value for money. I had a nice first floor room with quaint old furniture and a bucket shower (very basic but functional). The room was definitely better than some of the darker rooms on the ground floor corridor. It is Chinese-owned and very authentic - many local... More

There it is, Pin Seng on Tripadvisor now. Great. Well Pin Seng Hotel was the worst experience I ever had during many years of travel. In 2008 I stayed in one of the rooms on the first floor. I came back from a motorbike trip around Penang and made one mistake: I had my Canon 40D DSLR camera hanging around... More

Basic accomodation, best we could find around the area for that price - we paid RM 35 for a big room with 2 double beds, and were in three people. The guy at the reception (shirtless one) is really funnynand friendly too!
