We stayed at the New Asia Hotel after reading positive reviews online and a recommendation in the lonely planet having paid £17 per night (approximately 85RM) through Agoda. The hotel certainly offered value for money, but there were a few areas where it could have been slightly better. The room was reasonably clean, the aircon, ceiling fan and hot shower... More

After spending a luxurious few days at another hotel at the beach, we wanted the real city experience of Georgetown with food stalls and markets within steps. We had made reservations using Agoda for this hotel and then changed the dates slightly via confirmed email from the hotel to coincide with friends who were also staying there. When we arrived,... Two words, strategic location! Surrounded by good food, just walk down the stairs and you will be overwhelmed by the variety of street foods offered for supper! Walk few minutes away and you will reach few shopping malls and the main bus station (Komtar). The rooms provided are spacious, clean and well equipped. A good choice for those traveling in... More

I am a Singaporean citizen now resident in Hong Kong. Early last year my wife and I visited Penang and stayed here. We enjoyed Penang very much, and the hotel, though basic, was very well located in the middle of a lively neighbourhood. We enjoyed the night market and the food stalls. We decided to return for another visit to... More

Customer booked a family standard but upon arrival,he demanded that he wants our junior suite which they had stayed before. We explained to them that it was not possible as our 2 junior suite already taken up by long staying guests. Wife of the guest started to get irritated and demand us to do something so they can have the... More

The official address of the hotel is 71 Kimberly Street. So not sure it is the same hotel we stayed in, can't tell from the photo at the top. Anyway, we are very happy with the location and service. We requested for an iron and ironing board and we were provided with them. They even loaned us a weighing scale... More

Great location, it is easy access to food stalls where Kimberly Street got lotsa nice food there. There is common area like pantry where I take away the food and have it there.10 min walk to Komtar and Armenian Street. Room with balcony. I can sitting out there to have night view.
