Stumbled across this place, so happy we found it. Ended up going back for another couple of nights. Lovely character to the interior. And big solid bunks were really comfortable. Great aircon in the rooms. Bathrooms were clean. Breakfast was better than most hostels with a selection of fruit as well as the usual toast. Staff were good especially the... More

Great spot walking distance from amazing food (it's Penang after all) the beds in the dorms are comfortable, each has its own small lock box perfect for a laptop and camera etc when u leave the room. Friendly staff and a good place to meet other travelers. Will stay here agin when in Georgetown.

We booked on hotels.com and paid under 70RM for a private room shared bathroom. The room was nice, we had a TV in the room but it didnt work. The bed was nice and big, nice sheets and pillows, AC and ceiling fan. There was plenty of space to put our bags. The bathroom were ok, showers had hot water.... More

I stayed here because I wanted to be close to Temples, Indian Food and Wifi. Had all that. It's not the Ritz but as a guest you aren't paying a lot. Good value, good location. The staff was strictly business which is fine with me. I don't need all the fake smiles and stuff when I check it. Efficiency is... More

I've stayed here for 2 nts in a dorm room and found some problems such as the aircon didn't work at 6 bed mixed dorm room so had to change to 4 bed dorm room (this type of room is closest to bathroom&toilet with no window), the wall was extremely thin and with the wooden floor-so you could hear all... Was probably a great place to stay a few years ago, but it's really rundown now. Cheaper and nicer places around the area. Stayed in one room and there was a huge hole in the mattress, the toilet was leaking as well so we asked for a different room. Next room had stained sheets, the extractor in the bathroom was... I've stayed in the private room with bathroom. It was on the top floor so we didn't hear any outside noise. Very good steaming hot shower, comfortable bed, good AC and fan. Everything you can expect, but lacking some storeroom for your bags. Breakfast is provided but of low quality only toast, jam and some fruits. Tea and coffee are... More

Staff are quite friendly, accomodating and informative. The shower rooms and toilets (although the hooks were a bit high for me) were clean. The bed linens were freshly laundered and my bed was properly prepared. it's along the main road and the view in the morning when you eat your breakfast is amazing as you get a glimpse of everyday... Beautiful protected building with plenty of old quirky featured, well kept with modernisation where required. Free breakfast was bread/toast, fresh papaya, watermelon, and bamanas. Shared bathrooms are gorgeous with drench showers and immaculate, more than enough for the number of guests. You'd be mad to stay anywhere else in Georgetown.
