I stayed there on Feb 2014 in private double room, Room isnt too large but still ok if u only stay for 1 or 2 peoples, clean private bathroom with hot and cold shower. There was a window but would be quite noisy at nite till early morning as u can heard peoples talk down the street. Nice heritage building, well maintenance,easy... More

Stayed in a 20-bed room (without AC) for 4 nights. It was hot when I was trying to sleep, but since the window was opened (in fact I believe it's always opened) it got better since it's in the middle of the night and I could feel the night breeze. But please buy a mosquito repellent if you can. WiFi... More

The dorm room we stayed was very big with some people even staying on mattresses on the floor and the room was also quite hot as there was no aircon (although I think they were about to change that). But the beds were very comfy and the provided tea and coffee as well as toast was good especially when on... More

I stayed here for 4 nights in a 4 bed dorm with A/C. The living room is nice with a big couch and flat screen to watch movies. Breakfast was very good: Toast, butter, jams, watermelon, fried noddles and Roti Canai. Also coffee and tea all day long. The place was clean, including the bathrooms. The staff is a bit... More

This place tries to sell you something else online : the room did not match at all the pictures. We booked a room with private bathroom. It was smaller than expected, did not have a window and the bathroom was really really small, like showering in a 50 square cm space squeezed between the sink and and the toilet. No... More

It was a nice and condusive place for me, good location as you walk to the heritage sights, bars, food stores and also has a bus station right in front of the street. The staffs are very helpful. There is a Movie lounge with couple of sofas playing all the Block busters(24/7), a resting corner with tables and sofas that... More

We stayed for 4 nights (bit of a mistake) at the Red Inn Heritage and although the common room was nice, the staff were unhelpful, the a/c dripped on the bed and we spent most of our time out of the place. The room was small and not clean. They do however have great jet hot showers, although the hot... More

Ugh. I had to switch to this one mid-weekend as my other awesome hostel was booked. Ok, so its dirt cheap at US6, but that's no excuse for filth and apathy. Three toilets with no paper (it's been ordered they said), one toilet flooding and not getting fixed, the shower tiles have rarely been cleaned ( look out athletes foot!),... More

It is good located, just few minutes walk from the main heritage attractions. Clean and new, recently renovated. Stayed in the 24 bed dorm, and was a bit difficoult for sleeping: noisy and too hot, only 2 fans. The staff was alright, so if you are looking for cheap place to stay in Penang and you are not a demanding... More

It cant provide us the basic, water supply. We were standing in the dripping water to bath. Staff said the water pump has some problems and they ask us to go downstair but the water is still the same. The room is soso but old and we dont think it is worth the price.
