The location of Chulia Heritage is definitely the selling point - right in old town and very easy to walk everywhere, and it's set back off main road a little so noise not so bad. We stayed in the standard double with ensuite on ground floor - very small room, but clean and comfortable. Bathroom is a wet room -... More

We were 2 couples who stayed at this hotel and one of it's best features is it's location right in the centre of the city. The rooms were big enough, we had a TV and AC, the bathrooms are really small but this didn't bother us. They cleaned the rooms every day and broght us fresh towels and bottles of... More

Heritage this. Heritage that. That's all you hear in Penang. Rolling up to this grand building you wish time travel was possible and you could turn in to an old heritaged white dude and head back to 1850. You'd be kicking back on the porch of this grand residence, whilst the hired help fetched you cold drinks. But alas, it's... More

This hotel is located in Chulia street where all the backpacker hotels and bars are. The hotel is very clean and nice. They gave us an upgrade to a bigger room so that was good but the room was right next to the reception so it was a bit noisy but it was ok. I would recommend this hotel.

The location of the hotel is good: it's near many restaurants, night market and travel agents, and also the famous Love lane. The only thing I may complain is that there is neither window nor ventilation in the bathroom, so everytime after taking a shower, all the steam and humidity went into the room and made the bed clothes felt... We booked a 2 queen size bed room with shared bathroom, the room size is quite okay as we didn't spend much time in it, staying there for 3 nights and found that all our targeted destinations were at walking distances! (If you don't mind walking around Georgetown by legs or riding bikes :D ) We visited all street art... More

We stayed at the Heritage Hotel for 4 nights in Aug. We were very careful about choosing a decent hotel in a very popular and very typical backpacker area. We got exactly that with this hotel. Although the taxi driver told us it was an expensive hotel, he was comparing to the tradtional cheap low end hotels in the area.... More

This is our 2nd visit in 2 years. Both times we stayed in family rooms with shared bathroom. The hotels are very well maintained with spotlessly white sheets, towels, rooms and toilets. We don't mind sharing the toilets as there are about 8 to share. There's a helper that can be seen sweeping and cleaning from morning till night. The... More

We stayed in here for three nights. The location is excellent, its on the main Chulia street which is walkable to most of the major locations. We never had to take any mode of commutation except walk around. The standard deluxe room is really small. So is the bathroom. But its manageable. Its complete value for money considering the cleanliness and... More
