A stylish hostel with friendly & helpful staff in a good location near the historic sights and good food. We enjoyed our stay here in one of the suites. The only downside is the lack of natural light and you can hear all the footsteps from the floor above but you are staying in one of the gorgeous heritage buildings... More

Stayed for 2 nights while on a trip with buddies. Overall, I liked the comfortable beds and rooms, good showers, and the chic look of the hostel. For the price I paid (rm30/person per night) its really value for money. Location is quite good too. However there were lots of mozzies around during our stay. And unfortunately the toilets were... This is a chic hostel, located in Georgetown. The hostel is easily walking distance to a lot of shops and the wharf over to butter worth and surrounded by the popular Street art. The rooms are decent sized with a Japanese style bed low on the floor. The bed is comfy, the pillows not so much. We had a loft... More

I would have given a rating of 4 stars if the hotel has kept the mosquito nuisance at bay. My friends and I were greeted by those pest the moment we step into the hotel. Perhaps the hotel could have prepare more mosquito traps? Finding for parking nearby the hotel is another inconvenience, as the hotel does not provide parking... More

Clean, white, comfy & attentive to the great details! We stayed for a night here. Not sure about the check-in process as it was handled by my friends. But definitely LOVE the dorms!! It was neat & complements well to the flawless white interior. Each bed comes with individual power point, personal lamp, a small compartment attaching to the wall... More

We where very happy with our 3 night stay at Ryokan during our quick trip to Penang. We had to check in pretty late during the night as our flight had been delayed, we had emailed the hostel to say that our flight had been delayed and we would be arriving very early in the morning. As we arrived at... More

Was very very satisfied with my stay. The staff do serve with a smile, but it is looks very forced, other than the lady with a tattoo and the chinese guy, makes making enquiries and requests a bit unpleasant. Rules are given but not enforced, while i was there, there happened to be a bunch of teens staying (not that... More

Stayed here for 1 night last weekend. The location and service is excellent. The rooms are clean, toilets are clean as well. Checking in and out is pretty much easy and hassle free. One thing to note, the floors are made out of wood, and not everyone knows and understand the concept of "walking quietly". While I was there, there... More

This place was definitel our best stay in out whole SEA backpacking. Located to almost everything (if not, the busstop is just 3 minutes from there), great 24h service, clean beds and rooms. Also is it an old pre-war building which still have the same wooden floors from then. Very cool place!
