Muntri Mews is a lovely place. I booked a twin suite and stayed with a friend for 5 days. There were little touches that made our stay very enjoyable - fan brought to the sitting area in front of our suite whenever we were lounging about outside (thanks for the initiative); cold drink brought to us as soon as we... I stayed a night over the last weekend. Booking was swift, except that email confirmation was not sent as promised. But nonetheless, Brian were expecting us. The staffs helped us put our luggage to our upgraded room. We were introduced to our room, did a little orientation. Local tea set was served right after check-in. Very courteous. Breakfast was really... More

Dear Miss Wong, Thank you for your compliments on our service and food despite your experience with the authorities. First, I would like to clear my colleague’s name that I was the one who checked you out and not Brian. Our practice is to inform our guests upon check-in that we do not have parking facilities followed by advice to... More

My girlfriend and me were deciding between Muntri Mews and Noordin Mews and it was a blessing in disguised that we ended up staying at Muntri Mews. Upon arrival we were greeted and shown into the cafe for registration. And we were served cold drinks which was a nice touch with the warm weather outside. We were than shown to... More

Travellers or backpackers would definitely adore this place for their tasty food. I would highly recommend Helen's curry mee as it is One-of-a-kind. Literally. The ambience of this place is rustic and enchanting which makes visitors recollect the memoirs of the olden days.

Perfect position (walk or free bus to everything that matters), price (I'd pay double for this in my hometown) and passionate, enthusiastic, ever-helpful staff who put the icing on an authentic holiday cake.

We stayed at Muntri Mews for one night, it was the best experience in Penang. I did not even really want to go out, just want to read books at the terrace in front of my room. We were a bit dissapointed when we arrived in Penang, which has a lot of cars ( air pollution ) and is not... More

Walking around Georgetown is richly satisfying. You are brought back to a simpler time where telephones had dials and people went everywhere on foot or bicycles. There's a gracefulness in the facades of the buildings, the colourful tiles and the memory of a more civilised time. But it's hot and taxis are expensive. And after walking around the town centre... I enjoyed my brief 3D2N stay here and the staffs such as Tania, Brian and everyone are very hospitable, helpful and kind. Although hotel is small as it only consists 9 suites but the suites are superbly clean and spacious. The other plus note is that they allow dogs on their ground floor suites (4 units) and I brought all... More

You'd have to be very picky indeed to find something wrong with this place. It's a beautiful space to spend time in if you don't want to be out all day. Unlike most hotel rooms it has charming little bits and pieces to look at and interesting books to browse. It's centrally located, the café is great and the staff... More
