We wanted a hotel away from the beach area and we thrilled by the Yeng Keng. We had a beautiful room with all the appropriate facilities, the staff were charming and efficient and the café was fun and convenient. The pool is smallish but welcoming ( we didn't see any other guests using it!).

We have travelled all over from Russia, turkey, China, Thailand,India, morocco, Portugal, USA, etc. Usually disappointing especially for the price you pay.most places are lacking in the vital area of service. Yengkeng scores high on location and overall value for price. Most of all we were struck by the excellent service. Staff were anticipatory of our needs, very helpful and... More

stayed here for two nights in room 204. The hotel has a lot of character and very clean. Location is convenient enough to Georgetown POIs. Comfortable bed, clean updated bathroom (no tub). My family had a very pleasant stay here. Side tip, uber is on Penang now and we used it to go everywhere to escape walking in the heat.... More

Stayed in two standard rooms (travelling with friends) located adjacent to reception. Very clean. No noise. Heritage building. Great facilities. Excellent location for hawkers, town shopping etc. Fairly small but inviting pool for a refreshing dip. Staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly. Any enquiry followed up and a solution/answer found. Two couples and all of us would stay there again... More

Well located just minutes away from the Georgetown UNESCO heritage site, cafes, eateries, museums, and even the famous Penang Road. The hotel itself is a very well preserved and maintained with detailed furnishing. Top notch and helpful service by the staff. Yeng Keng cafe serves one of the nicest prawn noodle ever. We were sad to find out that prawn... More

This lovely boutique hotel on a busy Georgetown street was a lovely surprise. It's in a noisy area but was peaceful and relaxing. Our room wasn't big but it was perfectly big enough and very pleasant. Food was good and the pool was a pleasant place to relax.

Very good hotel. Close to public transport and some of Penang's more popular attractions. Lots of food choices, cafes and markets, all within easy walking distance. Bus route runs past the hotel. The hotel itself is well presented, friendly staff were more than helpful with anything that we needed. Breakfast was included in our stay and was more than satisfactory... More

Nice hotel. The room was good and clean, One small issue was there seemed to be a small stain on the quilt cover. Overall, the friendly and helpful staff made the stay a pleasant one. Leo, the front desk staff, deserves special mention for this. Great job, Leo!
