Recently refurbished and well-equipped with workshop/meeting arrangements. Houses two restaurants which offer a wide range of cuisines. Right opposite Island Hospital, Penang. Accessible as cabs are always available right in front of doorstep.

there is no perfect hotel any where in the world. It all depends on what you value and your expectation. for instance. What I can share with you on my experience is most hotels don't maintain their air conditioning well in their guest rooms so that would make your stay in Penang very uncomfortable in you are looking to retire... Stayed in the hostel for 3 days 2 nights for a workshop. The hostel lived up to its motto “Your Home Away from Home”. Staff friendly and helpful especially the receptionists. Free tourist leaflets on Penang Island are readily available. Free Wifi though slow. Rooms spartan – air con; hot/cold shower; bath towels provided; TV facilities - all in working... More

I stayed in this hostel because my dad had a plan to take medication in Island Hospital. This hostel was recommended by my health advisor because its exactly in front of Island hospital. 1. Price: very affordable (start from 82RM) 2. Room: nice, clean white bedding, with old furnitures and old matress. (old tube-tv, old styled AC, etc) 3. Bath:... More

Overall a pleasant experience. Aircond is cold. Beds comfy. They have astro channels ESPN and Starmovie so u wun really get bored. Internet wise is sufficient enough to facebook, email, though i didnt stream , Speedtest was 4MBPs. Breakfast was either bread cheese ham or a plate of fried noodle with egg. Enough for me i guess. The room is... More

We chose this hotel as it's near Island hospital where our Doctor is. Island hospital is really2 close.. 1 minute walk literally..Environment has no food area unless restaurant below and hospital cafetaria. Room space is enough for twin beds, quite dirty with dusty rug and lots mosquitos, but you can ask them to spray. All the amenities from ac, tv... More

Decent stay in YMCA. In fact, quite affordable and with a somewhat central location. Take a cab to the nearby Red Rock Hotel to try the street food around the area. Suppose to have wifi available but always can't get it probably due to heavy usage. Won't mind going back again for the cheap lodging! Free breakfast is somewhat disappointing,... More
