We stayed for 3 nights in a family room, it was clean and comfortable although not one of the best rooms. Food is great at the hawker stall only minutes from the hotel, we used taxis a lot to get around as we have kids but you can probably walk if you don't. Pool is nice to have a dip... More

A nice and relaxing heritage hotel with the right prices. Nothing lavish, just old fashion comfort and cleanliness. Beds are comfy. Some rooms have been refurbished, choose wisely as they have many types of rooms to suit various needs. Has a decent pool too. They have even upgraded their reception area.

Stayed alone previously at the establishment and fell in love with it..so, during the recent long holiday break for the Eid celebration, took the wife and kid for a 5 day stay. The check-in was a breeze. In fact, we managed to check in at 10.30am. That was a blessing after a 4-hour drive. The room was simple but very... More

For the price we were happy with this hotel which was built in 1926 and efforts are being made to restore the hotel to it's glory. We took a standard room, which was basic and bathroom needed attention but the Superior room was comfortable, well furnished with a balcony. The best thing was that we were close to all the... More

I stayed in 1926 Heritage Hotel from the 9th of July - 12th of July along with a party of 5. The rooms were excellent - clean and spacious. The beds were very comfortable, making for very good sleep in between our pig-outs in Penang. The hotel breakfast was simple but very delicious. I would suggest that you wake up... More

This is a great place to stay in Penang. The staff are friendly and the location is perfect if you have a scooter. The security guards will make sure the scooter is safe during the night, 24 hour security guard. Close to a lot of great places to eat. About a 10 mn walk to Ocean. 7-11 close by too.... More

I was expecting more from this hotel because it was recommended by a friend and their website looked promising but unfortunately it was rather average. I didn't like the fact that the rooms weren't locked when we checked-in and that there isn't enough lighting in the room and hallways. The room is very basic and unfortunately for me, I didn't... We stayed for 4 nights for a visa trip. The first person we met was one of the owners, Daniel, who very kindly offered us complimentary breakfast. Check in was smooth and we were shown to our room, a quad on the upper floor on the opposing side to the pool. The room was clean, the beds very comfortable and... More

My wife and I stayed at this heritage hotel for two nights last June. We were in Penang to attend the exotic Eurasian Festival..................a festival that celebrated the unique cuisine of Penang Eurasians as well as their love for music. We enjoyed ourselves. The 1926 Heritage Hotel was actually built in that year as the living quarters for British Customs... More
