Where to start. It is old and shabby...thats its good points. On arrival and other times, you should not annoy staff by going to their counter. Room in very sad condition. TV attached (pemanently) with cheap steel band. Receeption advises no remote supplied as they get stolen !!!!!! Rooms are it appears must be used by "ladies of the night"... More

We chose to stay at the heritage listed E and O Hotel rather than the very modern section as to experience some old world charm and luxury. We were not disappointed. Our rooms, #309 overlooking the swimming pool were lovely and extremely comfortable. They included a well appointed sitting room, latest tv, work desk with all we needed to keep... More

We’ve stayed at the Orient for 3 times over the years, this most recent in April, 2014 for 2 weeks. That says something in itself – I’ve always thought that this hotel offered a great value. The rooms are spacious enough to move around in and places to put your luggage. Each room has a private bathroom, and though it’s... More

This hotel is very old and has not had any updating at all. Carpets are all worn and stained, bathroom plumbing so old, and no hot water, bed sheets stained, bathroom towels so thin you could see thru them. We saw a cockroach in the bathroom. Elevators very slow and rooms have no sound proofing. This is the worst hotel... More

A most lovable hotel in George town. As the hotel is of several floors, you can prefer some rooms above 10th floor and can enjoy the beauty of sea view and harbor view. Rooms are very spacious, clean and well maintained. A/C, Hot water etc.. are available but no breakfast. The location is very good as it is just minutes... More

I stayed in Orinetal hotel last week with my family. We booked a family room for just $55 per night. The hotel is ideally located in the heart of George town in close proximity to the famous UNESCO world heritage site, restaurants and shopping centers. Although the hotel is a bit old the rooms are very spacious and clean. The... More

about Geogetown: it has a teeny-tiny downtown, do not worry about the location of the hotel,.... in the downtown everything is in half an hour disctance by foot. about the hotel + pro: central located if you are on visa run, it is perfect for you, it is end of the Chulia street, 2 minutes far, from Banana House (... Having scoured the city in a taxi for hotels, this was the cheapest one (excluding guest houses) at RM87 per night. Very courteous, efficient staff, even a doorman! This hotel was probably quite grand thirty or forty years ago, but looks tired now. That being said, the place is very clean, the rooms are spacious with excellent views and the... More

We stayed here for 5 nights on a visa run, it's all you need if your on a low budget! The location is central & within walking distance of restaurants and bars. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful! Location is Very very close to the party strip- which had its disadvantages... Every night all we heard was 'boom... More
