My girlfriend and I stayed at this hotel for 2 nights at the cost of RM118 per night. The room that we booked was Standard Double Room. This is our second hotel in Ipoh (The first one was Hotel Station 18). The reason this hotel was chosen is that it is strategically surrounded by many tourist attraction which are all... More

We were looking for a strategic but affordable place as visitors with no car. The walk from the railway station is quite a distance away, but doable if you're carrying minimal luggage and break the journey with a stop for a bite at the Kong Heng area in Ipoh Old Town. This place is across the river, in the newer... More

Apart from some clumsy hotel policies, like paying in advance, paying for one hour late checkout, and so on, a very good place. Brand new, clean, nice for Ipoh standards. They may even get 5 stars just with small improvement, like enforcing no-smoking prohibition (the corridors smell terribly), add a bedside light (which in Asia is always missing in low... More

Having travelled by train and moved around on foot, the location of this hotel was great as it was a short walk to all the places we wanted to visit and, of course, to the train station. From the train station we'd walked over to Old Town area for lunch and explored the area before making our way to the... More

This relatively new hotel is clean and comfortable; a bit small otherwise it suits budget travellers. Friendly and helpful staff; they are ever ready to answer all your queries from places to visit and eateries. Location is superb: within walking distance to the 2 famous chicken and bean sprouts restaurants (Lou Wong & Onn Kee), funny mountain soya bean drink,... More

Location is perfect, hotel is clean, staff is nice, facilities in room also good. But, it is very very noisy. I am not a person that is very sensitive to noise, but I can't sleep well the whole night. It is located near the main road, you can hear very clearly all the sound from main road even with window... We stayed at Le Metrotel Hotel for 3 nights and paid RM 128 nett per night (weekday rate) for the first two nights and RM 138 nett for the third night (weekend rate). It’s located right in the heart of Ipoh’s food district: (1) Baked salted chicken, beansprouts chicken with rice or hor fun, kaya puffs, tofu curd dessert and... More

I booked this hotel after reading positive reviews from tripadvisor. Glad to say that it did not disappoint me. The room we had was clean & comfortable. We love the spacious bathroom as well. This hotel is located nearby to various eating places which can be accessed by walking distance too. However, the wifi available wasn't good at all. We... More

At 1st I didnt put more expectation for this hotel but absolutely you wont feel disappointed for it. What I can said is AWESOME and FANTASTIC. I booked the Family Room from 02 Sept to 04 Sept and the receptionist assigned us at room 309. They are using key card to enter the room. Clean and bright environment, comfortable bed... More

Friendly staff, big, clean rooms, quite far from the Old Town in the heat but only really a 20 minute walk. Lots of authentic Chinese restaurants nearby that are quite buzzy at night. Very modern, but it lacked the options of trips to do as these were all very expensive.
