My second time staying here, the cafe downstairs started operation this time I stayed. If you want a proper nights sleep, look somewhere else. The cafe literally blasted their music until 12 midnight. Non of us could get any sleep. Also, if you're not staying at the highest floor, be prepared for people staying above walking around in high heels.... More

Awesome hotel! Old building has nicely converted into an accommodation. Mixture of old and new, with nostalgical atmosphere. We stayed at a superior room as we need a two bedded room. Our room was spacious enough for a night stay, clean and well functioning. No breakfast is included but there are so many eateries surrounding. Our room was upstair of... More

Sekeping Kong heng is more than a staycation, its an ideal place for the Artsy Fartsy and Cafe Connoisseurs as well as those who love shopping at flea markets for homemade products. Smack centered in old Ipoh town - it is a unique stroll between old shophouses that has been given a new facelift to meet the needs of current... More

Pros and cons of staying in this hotel: First and foremost: Fire-safety is a very big concern to my family. We were issued a set of keys to the locks at two entry points to our hotel. We have to open the locks from within the gate through a small opening. I doubt any Fire Safety Department will approve such... More

Stayed at the old block room 1 o'clock. Room was very spacious, clean and deco was unique mostly from recycle stuff n old furniture. Bed was very comfy. Came with a flat screen tv and some light cooking utensils are provided. Slightly noisy during the morning rush hour but was ok for us. It's housed at a neo-classical building and... More

Checked in for a second visit to this rustic and simple laid back hotel. Nothing much has changed from my visit in 2014, in fact we got the same room again. This hotel is definitely for couples who can't live without a TV or some form of in room entertainment in their room. There is no TV and there is... More

Me and my friends of 8 stayed in The Old Block's room 2 & 4 o'clock. It was an interesting stay that was spacious. They both are the same, twinned room. The furnitures are slightly different too. The rooms provided a microwave, pots and pans, plates, cups, cutleries, boiler, hot shower, towels and slippers, 2 powerful aircons and 4 fans... More

Depending on which room you choose, we stayed at the standard room 1 - nice place to stay with delightful music being played from downstairs. The whole place is amazing, ancient wooden peeled off paint windows, plank flooring, dim yellow lights with crawling plants here and there. If you would prefer a more quiet room, I would suggest to get... More
