This was our first visit to Ipoh and on a friend's recommendation found this unique place called Sekeping Kong Heng. We stayed in one of the double rooms for one night and absolutely loved it. It is not a very luxury place, but comfortable and especially beautifully designed and oozes of character with it's mix of old and new. Also... More

I had to whatsapp Kit from You Le Yuen (separate review) to find out the proper name of this place. Found it online and made a booking with a Ms Lau. Happy to report that we were not disappointed. We combined the stay at SKH with night riding with the #ipohfoldies community which was outstanding. They had no problem meeting... More

Like any other Sekeping property, Sekeping Kong Heng did not fail to impress me. This might not be the place for family or couple's romantic getaway. It is certainly the place for a bunch of (laidback) friends to getaway for a few days. The walls pretty thin, so keep your noise level low. The floors are creaky, so keen your... More

We stayed in one of the apartments and absolutely loved the decor. As we were a little separate we didn't experience the restaurant noise that others have experienced but boy the street noise is pretty bad. Motorbikes up and down the street all night, not the hotels fault of course. Funky place, staff were encountered were lovely and some new... More

I would classify this place as basic, but different. The environment was beautiful. It was open and rustic and there were many plants. The room had nothing more than 2 beds, clothes hooks, a shower and a toilet. It was clean, however we did see a cockroach in the room. Tea and coffee facilities were available on the top floor... Stayed for the weekend. Alone. It was hipster in all its essence. Design wise i mean. Communal space was relaxing. Provided no one else is there. Theres hammock and bean bags and all. Next to it there are tonnes of hipster coffee place and cafes. Like literally next to it. Go down the stairs and walla... Plan B. Missing Marbles.... More

We stayed in 1 o'clock room. It was facing the main road so u could hear the noise from the streets. Try getting a room facing inside. Room can get a bit hot especially during the day, though air conditioner were on. Staffs, only two, I'm serious, are friendly and helpful. Clean rooms with very basic amenities. Only bath gel... This is my second time staying at Sekeping Kong Heng over the past 3 years and it was as pleasant as it was the first time. My family, all adults we on a road trip back to Penang and I insisted we must stay here for a night on our way home. I love all the Sekeping hotels and homestays... More

Don't expect it to be a high class hotel.. Normal expectation would do if you want to have some not so ordinary r&r.. They have a nice common area with TV and DVD player and a swimming pool in the next building..

You will adore this place! located in the beautiful town of Ipoh, a short walk away from the station. Is the perfect stop before reaching the Cameron Highlands. This beautiful hotel is the result of a renovation project by a group of outstanding architects Malaysians. We were greeted by a very nice indonesian guy . I recommend this hotel to... More
