The facility is old but OK. Very good surrounding with many shops including eating outlet. Had our late breakfast at the mamak restaurant downstairs. After that did some shopping at the shoes shop right opposite the hotel. Good buddy.

at one glance, thought of another disappointment. But it proved my first impression misleading...I especially like the following:' 1. walking distance to practically the famous jln leong sin nam for timsum. 2. opposite the store dpt store where u can buy everything u need. 3. below is a 24-hour mamak shop to fill yr tummy. 4. the staff on duty... Advantage: This hotel is located in the town, easy access to restaurants and taxi. Closer to the Chinatown were you can see different restaurants especially in the evening. Disadvantage: The hotel looks nice and new outside. The information desk looks nice and clean. The staffs were unfriendly. When you get inside the rooms, there you will find out what's the... More

As a budget hotel, I do not have high expectation. What makes it special is the deco and furnitures from past decaces. If you have seen 'Mad Men' TV show, you'll get the idea. 1. old color TV in bright fiery red plastic casing! 2. vintage intricate geometric pattern ceiling panel boards. 3. vintage unitary (single unit) air conditioning. 4.... no doubt this hotel is one of the pioneers in ipoh but it has failed to keep up with the changing times and competition. Not sure how much has changed in the last 11 months. Condition of rooms are unacceptable. We opted for a family room just tk hang out and watch Thaipusam celebrations from our balcony as for this... More

The location of this hotel is perfect. 5 mins walking distance to The Store shopping mall. Easy adjecent to a lot of shops. This hotel is only rated as 1-2 star. Overall the room is old and smelly... Some more there are ants climbing over the bed and basin.. The towel provided is quite dirty. You will not dare to... More

Stained sheets, holey blankets, dirty floors. We were pleased to only stay one night on a stopover to Palau Langkawi. Very noisy air conditioner that clunked all night. But it is near to the shops, KFC and plenty of Malaysian, Indian eateries. The main desk was good at answering our inquiries.

Recommended by a relative. Found the place recently renovated. Surprisingly very clean for a budget hotel which is converted from a corner shoplot. Rooms reasonably large. Good security including a guard each positioned in the rear covered car park (fits 6 cars) and lobby at night. Decent room with conventional fittings and facilities. Just nice for overnight sleep. Very reasonably... More
