Went to Ipoh for market visit. Needed a place for the night, nothing fancy...good location. The French Hotel was a very good surprise. The location is so central. It is clean and the service was professional. Check in and out time was quick with minimum fuss. The price is fair. I recommend this hotel for those who require a clean... More

This is a charming hotel located in the heart of Ipoh town. It is very clean and well maintained. My husband and I stayed here one night, on our way back to KL and we really enjoyed our stay. We booked a king size room with no window, and it was very spacious. The bed was comfortable and the room... More

Good modern small hotel. Rooms are clean and well maintained. The café on the second floor has nice ambience and is quiet and cosy. Hotel is within walking distance to famous food places for iconic landmark food, old town coffee, dim sum, freshly baked pastries and massage centres. Can approach hotel reception staff for suggestions or directions. Cabs readily available... More

You need to get used to this downtown hotel where there are lots of strange (but harmless) people hanging around the entrance. I was put off by these strangers at first but they are just hanging loose downtown. Location: It's downtown and close to many of the famous food shops in Ipoh: Bean sprouts, fishball kwayteow (hor fee), curry noodles,... More

Stayed one night as part of a self drive holiday around Malaysia. Very clean and modern with nearby free parking which is a very short walk from hotel. Friendly staff; we had a very pleasant stay with all the local hawker food places, including the famous chicken and bean sprouts restaurants within walking distance. Georgetown is famous for its street... More

I stayed 7 nights with French Hotel and using as a base to visit all the food attractions within walking distance. My room at the third floor , was well maintained and clean at first impression. I chose the room with window view of the town but it was facing another building. Still it had a side view of the... More

No high expectation during the first walk-in experience but this hotel managing by true hoteliers. We got what every guest need starting with a clean and spacious room, comfortable bedding and cozy design. We had a relaxing and great night sleep here.

This was our third stay and we were once again pleased and satisfied with everything. Clean and stylish rooms serviced by a great staff. The rooms aren't huge but are well designed and offer plenty of room for storing your belongings. The area around the hotel might not be the greatest, but fantastic food is only minutes away in every... More

This is my new favourite hotel in Ipoh! It beats the Impiana because a) their hot water always works, and b) location location location! It is right in the centre of town and an easy walk to plenty of places to eat and an interesting look around some of the older buildings in Ipoh. It is a small hotel, but... More

Rooms are tiny but clean. The location is superb if you want to be in downtown Ipoh. And the family simply loved it! With two kids in tow, we needed a place that we could keep popping back for a shower, for an afternoon siesta, for a bit of an air-cond relief, in between our jaunts in Ipoh. The Ipoh... More
