Love the location, friendliness of the staffs & front office people, cleanliness, price & confortable bed :) Nothing that i really dislike. The only thing is no breakfast, unless you can to get their set from Jose & Deli & open air car park.

Stayed here for one night on Saturday recently. It's a really basic place but for USD50 per night, the room was clean, bed was comfortable and staff were very friendly and helpful. Staff helped us arrange for foot/back massage appointments nearby, which were good value for money. French Hotel is walking distance to the good food - I would stay... More

We decided on this hotel based on Tripadvisor reviews and were pleased when it turned out deserving of its top ranking. The service at reception was indeed superb, particularly with food recommendations, and staff was always friendly and cheerful. There was an issue with exuberant guests in the corridor one night and staff dealt with it. Our Deluxe King rooms... More

It is a simple, comfortable, minimalist hotel with good rooms, efficient service, great location and great value for money. And they have a parking next to the hotel. My suggestion is to buy your drinks outside because the in room drunks are a bit marked up. But it is a nice choice. They have less than 50 rooms so advance booking... More

As you can see number two on the list on trip advisor. Spent one night staff very helpful and pleasant I know it sounds a bit funny but they were probably too nice! Room was fine the only thing wrong was one of the lights wouldn't switch off which was a pain.My main moan is 16rm for a small bottle... More

Hotel Room is spacious with windows and its clean and breakfast was ample eventhough it cost RM5 per person. The restaurant on the first floor is decorated very nicely and one could have quiet nice evening for couple of drinks. The staff were helpful and parking space is just next to hotel.

We stayed at the French Hotel in June 2014 for one night on our way back from the Cameron Highlands and on the way to Pangkor Laut. It is pretty cheap and the quality is ok for that price. Our room didnt have a window which is pretty depressing. But the cleanness was acceptable. Breakfast was pretty horrible. Service in... More

1. A good night's sleep is my number one expectation in a hotel room. And the French Hotel delivers. Big comfy bed, clean soft white linen, and A/C which maintains a consistent temperature. 2. Helpful and responsive staff. Had a hiccup with setting my room temperature. Reception showed up with a technical guy under 5 minutes. Solved my problem with... More

For the price, this is a really good hotel with medium-sized modern rooms and great staff on the front desk. The location is very convenient in the old town and the lobby is nice to return to. The bar area on the mezzanine was nice for a drink in the evening. We didn't eat breakfast at the hotel but the... More

Was there from 20th to 22nd Jul. Overall stay was ok. Do not expect 5star hotel services but its good enough. Downgrade my room with no refund as their highest end room's aircon and wifi wasnt working. In fact, i personally feel the 2nd highest end room has better room layout and everything is in working order. Clean and bed... More
