We stayed two nights with our parents and we were very pleased with the service and the value for money. We stayed in the main building, which has rooms with twin beds, airco'd, only the toilet and shower we had to share. The Travellers' Home also has small bungalows with double beds, airco and own bathroom. The service is great: breakfast... more

I'd like to confirm the comments of the other reviewers. Great place, great staff, good value for money. Have a chat with the Malaysian owner of the place if you have the opportunity. He's a former park guide and a living wildlife encyclopaedia Take a room inside the main building though instead of the privacy of a chalet, to avoid... more

At traveller's home, you can really feel like home. The people of the hotel are very friendly, and because the meals are served for all the guests together, you can easiely connect with them. Breakfast is nothing special, but lunch and dinner was very good - real home cooked malayan food! Because the place is a bit away from Taman... more

We have been staying in a lot of places in Malaysia so far, but this is definitely the best (budget/midrange) place we've stayed in. First of all, the staff is very helpful, friendly and good for a laugh. Second, the maintenance is not Malaysian at all, meaning that the place is very well kept and not as per the usual... more

We stayed at the Traveller's Home (TH) for 3 nights in November 2008. Being the transition time between rainy seasons in the West and the East (just starting around that time), central Malaysia can go either way. We had mixed weather, but were happy to have a nice place to retreat to during downpours. The TH is a very friendly,... more

We spent 3 nights in Travellers Home when we visited Taman Negara. The staff are very friendly, the accommodation is very clean, the food is very good and the atmosphere of the place is very relaxed. They have nice communal areas with satellite TV, board games, DVDs, and Internet access (not wireless unfortunately but i'm sure thats on their to... more

Traveller's home was a beautiful place to stay while visiting Tamen Negria. The staff was wonderful and was even able to answer many questions we had about transportation and logistics through e-mail as we were planning our trip. Everything was exceptionally clean and well run. The meals are served as a group and it was great fun to meet and... more

We stayed at Travellers' Home which is located 4 km from jeti to Taman Negara National Park. We booked directly with them and paid 150 MYR per night which included breakfast and dinner each day. We stayed in one of their chalets which was clean, nice bed, air conditioner, bathroom with hot water showers. At night time, you can really... more

The Chalet’s were very nice – airy, spacious and no bugs or creepy crawlies, which was my goal. Would have been even better – and even great – had the cleaning staff done a thorough job cleaning the bathroom. I wiped it down myself – I think the owner’s were away, so that the cleaning had been done only be... more

A fantastic find - Travellers' Home is about 5 minutes drive from Kuala Tahan, but the owners were very accommodating and drove us to/from Kuala Tahan whenever we wanted. The rooms were spotless and the whole building modern and clean. There are two large areas for sitting and watching TV, playing games, reading, etc. Each upstairs room has a verandah... more
