Fresh vegetables! Sweet tasting too. My kids loved the place didn't even go to the Cameron's. Basically it's a farmstay so if you are looking for people to clean up your rooms this is not for you. But if you are a city folk and wanted to get away from the city then try this place out. Get a good... More

Stayed 3D2N with family of 3 adults and 4 kids. This place is just amazing and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Due to one of our kids requiring emergency treatment in the hospital the day before, we were not able to arrive as planned. A few phone calls and MRL were able to accommodate us the day after (and this... More

My friends and I embarked on a journey across the causeway to Cameron for a weekend getaway. Stayed 3D2N with MRL and it was truly a one of a kind holiday! Tucked away from the usual hustle and bustle of main town on Cameron Highlands, it was a peaceful and relaxing experience. The beautiful flora and fauna surrounded lodge provided... More

Good times spent writing, reading and touring the surrounding areas. The walk on the grounds are enjoyable. Staff and management are friendly and do go out of their way to make your stay a pleasant one. Showers with hot water and nice clean toilets helped me to settle in. Food prepared from organic produce grown on the production farm is... More

My husband and I decided on a whim to check out Cameron HIghlands and farms in the area, as we have never travelled by car into malaysia from singapore.. It was an adventure for us and this place caught our attention as it offered a unique farmstay experience away from the usual tourist hotels in Cameron. We loved the place... More

It was really nice experience to bring my family to have an adventurous holiday to MRL. Stayed 3D2N from 16-18 Oct 2013. My small group consist of 7 persons from the youngest 8 years old (my pair of twin boys) to my mom's friend Uncle Tang who is 75 years old. What matters most is the great hospitality from Ms.... I will definitely return for a longer stay. 2D/1N is not enough to explore, especially after the winding road up and down from KL. The MRL guidebook was good in informing tips and nearby attractions but this info should either be shared in the blog (I don't remember seeing there) or emailed to travelers ahead of time. As I had... More

We went for a trip outside of Kuala Lumpur, where we live. The lodge is very well-laid out and done. A bit rustic but homey and just a beautiful little slice of greenery and comfort. Plenty of places to relax in a hammock or on a bench. We don't have kids but they seemed to have quite a bit for... More

Stayed 3D2N, 5 families. There were 32 of us (19 kids and 13 adults (2 senior citizens >70 y/o). MRL is basically a farm stay programme, not luxury hotel, so no housekeeping during your stay and they expect you to clean up after yourself (no problems with us). Communal bathroom was a new concept for all our city kids used... More

I joined a photography event and stayed at Moonriver Lodge for a night. The place is clean and cozy and make you feel relax like at home.. They also has a very nice garden full of flowers. First day we had a garden and farm tour. We also had a bonfire at night. The next day we went for Rafflesia... More

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Moonriver Lodge is a family owned farmstay nestled in a valley of the lush mountains of Sigar Highlands. We are located half an hour away from the hustle bustle of Cameron Highlands. This is a space where children can roam freely along the food garden paths, run through the food tunnel and play with Webby the duck or Zorro the cat. This is a space where nature lovers can watch hummingbirds and butterflies drinking nectar from the flowers and listen out for the distant call of the monkeys. Here at Moonriver Lodge, we provide not just a relaxing stay but also the opportunity to learn about nature and growing food and to participate in day-to-day farming activities. Go on a trek to see the second largest flower in the world - the magnificent Rafflesia Kerrii. Hop onto the back of our tractors and join a farm tour or participate in one of our fun gardening programmes to teach your children to how food is grown. Harvest fresh vegetables, fruits and herbs from our garden to prepare a healthy, organic meal. Whatever you do here at Moonriver Lodge, you are bound to leave our gates rejuvenated but with a heavy heart to part with a place you wish was your second home. Because that's what we try to provide - a comfortable, beautiful home. ... more   less
