The Dusum is different. It is not a "hotel". It is an opportunity to share an idyllic rainforest lodge with some lovely people at a very reasonable price in your choice of 5 ecologically excellent houses of different sizes and character. You need to be able to climb several hundred steps each day (It is on top of a steep... More

On two occasions when planning to stay at the Dusun I have had an email exchange which led me to believe that I had booked a room only to be later told that the Dusun team had given the room to another person. Last week I enquired about a room and received a response that said yes there was a... More

Hello Adam, Thank you for your feedback. The booking staff are asked to give bookings on a first-come-first-served basis. When all bookings came in via email, some people are inevitably disappointed, especially since we're such a low capacity resort. We have improved this by introducing online bookings on our website. This is the best way to make a booking as... More

My family and in-laws stayed at the Sora and Perling houses. The houses are comfortable and equipped with mosquitoe nets (Perling) and vape mat (both houses). We did not have a lot of problem with the mosquitoes or insects in the night and that is because we turned on minimum lights in the house thereby not attracting bugs into the... More

Nestled in the finest spot on a hill, surrounded by nothing but serenity and dense lush vegetation, Dusun is probably the best short trips an ardent nature lover would make away from the city. Managed by a pleasant, warm and dedicated lady, this place has nothing that reminds you of your otherwise 'connected' life back in the city. If you... More

Hello, Thank you for taking teh time to write this review, we do appreciate it. We're glad you enjoyed the jungle experience. For your next stay, we suggest you book Perling House as it can be shut other than the ventilation holes. However, the lizard may live in any wooden house in the tropics, it is true that it is... We spent a very pleasant three nights at the Dusun in late December. After an initial hiccup when I disturbed an ant´s nest in Perling House, the cleaning up of this was dealt with efficiently, quickly and courteously, thank you. We did not get any mosquito bites in the houses at night and only a couple in the day, despite... More

I just spend 4 days at the Dusun in Perling house. Amazing houses in an incredible location; lush scenery, beautiful houses to stay in and fantastic hosts. Cute patio kitchens for each house so you can cook and delicious breakfasts each morning. Do the waterfall walk it's beautiful for swimming. Read on the balcony, or swim in the pools. Highly recommended!

There comes a time when you have had enough of the concrete jungle, and decided to go to a real jungle instead. You will not be disappointed with The Dusun. At only 1.5 hours drive from KL, it will bring to you a complete change in scenery. Steep slopes and careful driving aside, once you get inside The Dusun, you... More

If you appreciate nature and understand what loving nature means, you will love The Dusun. This resort has only 5 villas, set in 13.5 acres of land with large matured trees - some bearing fruit, some flowers, and some just mind-boggling and beautifully peculiar. Every villa has a huge verandah with a view of the rainforest and layers of hills... More
