Matt and Angela were so welcoming during my stopover before the Perhentians that I came back afterwards. Perfect location near the bus station, clean rooms and bathrooms, comfortable beds, and a relaxed atmosphere.

This is a great hostel compared to its price, it's clean and quiet, you can see all the movies you want on their telly, the wifi is really good and the staff is so friendly and VERY helpful. We got a map when we arrived there and the staff member made sure we knew where we were and how we... More

Don't expect too much for your few bucks. It's cheap and just fine for a few days. The guy who works there is friendly and gives all the information you need. Would not mind going there again when going through Khota Baru.

Stayed here for one night as a stopover to the Perhentian islands and was very pleased. Kota Bharu is a place I would recommend avoiding, devoid of anything interesting but what little shopping/restaurants there are are very close the the guesthouse. Paid 12 ringgits (about £2) each for a dorm room which had 4 of us in. No AC in... More

I had a solo room for a really low price. The location of the Hostel is really nice and also the only bar in the city is in the neighborhood of the hostel. The room and bed was ok, because there is no airco the room was a little hot.

I had to search a lot to find out this hostel after reaching Kota Bharu. Rooms are not good, small. One night I fought with one girl from UK, because she was disturbing, staffs are not friendly. Get free coffee/tea. Toilets not clean. I met one nice guy from Japan.

Mat the owner is a great person. He cares for you and makes sure that you will have a great time in Kota Bharu. The hostel is in the city center. Everything is close to the hostel (embassy, shopping possibilities, restaurants). Even a nice vegetarian place is very close to the hostel. The hostel is perfect for backpackers looking for... More

We have been stolen there! Me and my girlfriend spent the night there in a 4 beds dorm, where there was only another person. When we did the check-in and paid the room, only the staff was in the guest house. After that, we left our baggage in the dorm room and went for a walk in the Kota Bharu... More

The staff were great here and the social area was cool. Bathrooms were averagely clean, however no where to brush your teeth or go to the toilet without it being wet from the shower. The rooms are very dark, painted as if it was a prison cell. We had the double room. Nothing special about it. Just a place to... More

The guesthouse is small but clean and cosy. Nice common area with movies. But what makes this place great is the guys that own the place. They are so helpful and kind, booking my taxi for super early in the morning ( and waking up to make sure i got it ok ) and going out of their way to... More
